I'm not complaining because at least CN is actually running the series, although they could at least show the series in order.
I eagerly tuned in last night to watch the MASS Device mini-series for the first time in almost 20 years and got.....that stupid movie again!! I guess there were only teasing us by putting MASS Device on the schedule. They'll pay for that! This I command!!!
Come on Cartoon Network, get it together, or you've got a date with Golobulus's spores.
On another note, I'd never actually seen the beginning of that silly movie before. It was actually much better than the ridiculous second half, but where was the opening Statue of Liberty scene? They cut it out completely to give us a couple minutes of Sergeant Slaughter babbling like a 5 year old?? Weak.

Spoiler:
Granted that it's been over a decade since I've seen the mini-series version of the movie, but I'm pretty sure the Statue of Liberty opening was in there before. Thank Toonami for cutting it out in favor of their clip show excuse of an opening.Originally posted by Desslar

Ive been asking this for weeks now. I checked Cartoon Network's schedule. After the movie finishes up there going back to "Countdown to Zartan", which already aired. It looks like there looping the same 20-30 episodes over and over (the same episodes that aired during there trial run over the summer). Counting the DIC episodes there has to be close to 100 episodes of GI Joe. Why is Cartoon Network looping over the same 20-30 episodes?
Actually, there's 100 episodes not counting the DIC seasons. I'm not sure why CN keeps looping the same eps over and over, either, but I wish they'd run "Pyramid of Darkness" soon.

Spoiler:
They're looping the ones they got because G.I. Joe is probably going off the air in Janaury. That's when Adult Swim takes over weeknights.
So CN's reasoning is: why show "new" episodes when the shows going off the air in 2 to 3 weeks?

1. To keep up ratings so that Hasbro will green light a new GI Joe series.
2. Don't take it off the air!! Wake up CN, you've got a good thing going!!
Actually, G.I. Joe isn't being taken off the air. True, it will be gone from weekdays at 12:30 A.M. on Cartoon Network on December 30th, but then, it will be on Saturdays at Midnight and 12:30 a.m. on Cartoon Network. So, instead of Mondays-Thursdays, there will be an hour on Saturdays.![]()
"Leaping Lanny and Randy Savage are brothers, and Randy Savage, your name is Randy Poffo. THAT'S RIGHT, RANDY POFFO. You're ashamed of going around calling yourself Poffo so you probably got the name Savage because you're ashamed of putting yourself on the same level as your brother because he is much better than you are. YOUR BROTHER IS A HUMAN BEING. YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A SCUMBAG. THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE; YOU'RE A DOG. YOUR NAME IS POFFO." - Ronnie Garvin to Randy Savage, ICW Wrestling, 1980.
Any chance theyll start airing new episodes? Like i said, so far theyve only aired the same 20-30 episodes about 3-4 times apiece. With the exception of "Arise, Serpentor, Arise", they havent even touched season 2.Originally posted by Condiment King
