Okay. There is not much that I can say without being choked with helpless laughter. So I'll try to keep it brief.
Point 1- Aku's facial expressions are just SO much fun to watch. And even better, he's finally tried out the asiatic dragon shape I've been ITCHING for him to try. DAIRYU WARUII!!!![]()
Point 2- Aku reading fairytales is like Christopher Walken reading 'Goodnight Moon'... Children, scootch closer... don't make me warn you again about the scootching...
Point 3- All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
*CHOP, CRASH!* "HEEEEEEEEEEERE'S JACKIE!!!" *REENT REENT REENT!!!*![]()
Point 4- Gratuitous Fanservice. Of the HIGHEST quality.![]()
We love you Genndy... Now where can we get some of what you were smoking?![]()

On Friday.
Also, look for Pikachu, some Hanna Barbera characters, and of course, kid versions of staffers, Craig McCracken, and Phil LaMarr.

I missed most of the episode because my computer's printer was giving me a hard time (I scanned a few
cel-drawings into my computer for making greeting cards), but got off in time to see about ten seconds of some of that "Gratuitous Fanservice" you were talking about (duh-rool, duh-rool). I'll have to try to catch it again.
As for what Genndy was smoking, maybe he got hold of whatever was in that yellow envelope the robot
gangster gave the bartender at the beginning of "Episode XII" (Did any of you notice the bartender
sniffing the envelope before he ducked down?) Or maybe after about eleven episodes of dead-serious drama, it was time to lighten up and have some fun
with his characters; then back to drama and adventure (I think Xena: Warrior Princess alternated between drama and comedy like this, too.)
Almost forgot. I'm writing a little "Jack Fiction" where he fights a mysterious beast while searching for a lost child. I'm writing it from the perspective of the characters who are in my story. Right now, I'm writing the "Beast's" part, where it knocks Jack out cold during a fight and gives him a little (Ahem!) "physical examination."![]()
"The tail end is always the best part--especially Jack's!"
Didn't see it......though I saw a commercial, showingSpoiler:
And besides, most people look at this type of topic unrealistically. They are all under the apparent misconception tha--oh, wait. Is my post over? Ah, okay.

Gawd, this was funny. But me, I was glad to see more of Aku... I've always loved his voice, and his was particularly good in this episode!
Robert Evatt
You read it... you can't un-read it!
i love that ep gendy isnt on crack...
*I* was amused at the depiction of Jack as a Bad Guy, with mean red eyes and sharp teeth. That's probably how Mojo Jojo would look, if he transformed himself into a human (hmmm- maybe there's a fanfic idea.)
I had a different kind of reaction to the depiction of Jack in the kid's story, with all that long black hair flowing in the wind.
Ooooooo- be still, my foolish heart!
Who in the world decided to create an "Aku's Fairy Tale Hour" episode!! Actually it was the most hillarious thing I have ever seen. One reason I love this show is how they managed to surprise us each week!!
"For with thee is the fountain of life: In thy light shall we see light" -Psalm 39:6
This was perhaps the most creative episode to date. It really strayed from the usual Samurai Jack plot. The tales were funny, and the animation was cute![]()

Man, all I can say is that Jay Ward's FRACTURED FAIRY TALES has nothing on Aku!! It was totally weird, and totally hilarious! And Aku's "Little Red Hood" was soooo CUTE!!!!

Check out my "Cat's Meow" column!
ya talking bout Samurai Jack being high on crack yet when i posted my fanfiction. You all went up in arms. :-)
You misunderstand. A few of us were wondering what the creators/writers had eaten, drunk, or taken when they made "Episode XIII" (which from what I've been reading is the funniest episode of the series, a diversion from the usual SJ plot).Originally posted by Defiant1DS9

BTW, what's the name of your fanfiction?

This episode had me in stitches!!!!![]()
These fractured fairy tales were funny as hell!!
It's good to see a non Jack adventure, now and again but I wish that Jack had shown up, if only to observe.
I also thought it was great that the kids weren't going to believe
Aku's lies.
BTW-Aku is voiced by an actor named Mako, just Mako to you!
He was in the Conan movies, I was quite surprised when I heard his voice the first time on Jack.
Speaking of Aku, I thought it was very cruel of him to change his appearce to that of a woman to trick Jack, in XII.
But it does pose a question does the wandering Samurai have someone to go home to?
Call me Kane
was hilarious!!! it was sooooo funny watching him try to tell little kids fairy tales!and watching his version of fairy tales! but the jonnhy bravo xmas episode is kinda ANNOYING cuz there singing! :9 but itll be funnier...
Sam Raimi, and Robert Taft would be proud of this episode!! Gotta love that Hanna-Barbera inspired wolf with Yogi Bear attire, and Daws Butler accent, not to mention "Little Red Hood". Imagine her Red from 2 Stupid Dogs (I'm taking this basket of goodies to my GRANDMA!!!!) were in the mix.
A funnier ending would have been to have Jack seated at the animator's desk, laughing hysterically after having given his adversary a healthy dosage of "creative revenge" for all the abuse Aku's been giving him since the series began ("And I didn't even have to use my sword!" he'd smile, looking at the shining katanastanding next to his chair.)Originally posted by Kathy Kane

That trick in "Episode VI" was pretty cruel, I agree. I'm betting one episode, a despondent Jack, his spirits finally crushed, will be pondering a potential life-altering decision (hara-kiri, anyone?), only to be forced to perform a heroic deed like rescuing a lost child from death and undertaking a perilous journey to take it home to its village, protecting it from all harm during the course of the story, eventually being rewarded by some simple act of kindness by the villagers (such as giving him a bath and a hot meal) that renews and strengthens his spirit.
Something for the "Jack" writers to think about for next season.
You know, it's funny you should mention that. The man's got so much potential angst building up that one of these days he's BOUND to snap. I actually wrote a one-shot first person perspective about it called "Sin." One of my darker works, but nonetheless interesting. Tis fun to run your heroes along the knifeblade of self annihilation. *devious grin* If anyone wants to read it, I suppose I could slap it up at the fanfic board or something...Originally posted by PeppeRaskell1

And heck yes, ep 6 was a real kick in the head. A friend of mine and I were all worked up about him finally getting a love interest... I admit that her colors were kind of indicative... but I NEVER expected it to end the way it did. You could just tell he was crying at the end... Poor Jackie-kun... *snuggles him consolingly*
That was actually my favorite ep, not only for the sheer intensity of emotion, but also for the delicious arabian/desert imagery. That one was a REAL winner.
