    Wasn't too bad, aside from the nothing happening bit. I was unnerved by Jack running in his Underwear most of the ep. I'm a girl, I dig Jack, but he was waayy too nakey for a kids show. Not to mention the fact it always looks like he's wearing a diper. Seemed more like a rehash of Lukes Training on Dagobaugh(sp?) or something, though for some reason I did enjoy the quick "You can fl?" line, it's funny when Aku says nonsensical things.

    Why, tis no matter, man; if they did hear,
    They would not mark me, or if they did mark,
    They would not pity me, yet plead I must;
    Therefore I tell my sorrows to the stones;

    the end

    Clearly Matt Wilson this is how the storyb ends and the other episodes after this is all prequels except the first half of the season did anyone else notice that that man whowas in this in this episode looked liked Jermey Creek as a boy.

    I thought this was a fine episode. If you say it's filler, well...Isn't EVERY other episode a filler?(Maybe not Episode VI, because the Woolies are mentioned again.) As for the ending, I just assumed Aku flew away again after a nick from the sword.

    And next week's episode looks very interesting.

    Can anybody tell me what happened in last night's episode? (Don't say "Nothing," I want a plot description, with SPOILERS!)
    I had to miss the show last night (worked late), and I'll have to miss it tonight, because my faithful Terk antenna's on the proverbial Fritz, and I had to send it back to the factory for replacement.

    Screen-grabs will also be appreciated (especially BC shots!)

    I don't appreciate COPOUT ENDINGS. Nor do I appreciate INCOMPLETE endings. They don't belong in Samurai Jack.

    If he is so incredibly close to a time machine, and he's about to slice up Aku, why should we be left out of it? It's stupid. It's like the writers were searching for a dues-ex machina and then just decided to end the episode early instead.

    Ok what you're all not getting is that the last part wasn't real, because it was Jack thinking about it. Of course there was no film conventions when this was done (wavey looking flashback, jack thinking, or a title card stating when it happened). When I saw it I didn't think Jack killed Aku. Hell, he only said "you can fly?".

    My theories include:

    1. Jack was thinking that.
    2. Jack did meet Aku and just shocked him because it looked as if he could fly. He may have not have won that battle though. It was just another scuffle.

    Think about the beginning of the episode though. That's the MAIN point. Aku fled because Jack could NOT fly. It was obviously a skill he needed to aquire in order to defeat him.

    The episode was meant to more of a character builder than a story progression. The white apes were more than charming, and it did remind me of the Star Wars/Dragonball type training segments that are more meant to show how he becomes strong, rather than actively using his strength.

    Now that you tell it...it wasn't a worth while episode. But I did like the ending dialogue.

    That's exactly what I thought when I saw the episode. I figured Jack was dreaming that he would defeat Aku. I don't see how it's such a big issue. It wasn't a cop-out, IMHO.

    Grrraghhh... explain it how you will... how dare they let the episode end with that accursed sword slashing straight for my Master's handsome face? And what happened to the episode about Aku hiring the best bounty hunters in the universe to hunt the fool down? And just how long do they expect us to look upon the samurai's pasty body?? Someone at Cartoon Network will PAY for this gross injustice!! Maybe.

    I'm afraid I still stand by my statement that the ending is a copout.

    We see no actual application of his jumping ability, if that is indeed a "dream" sequence. And he no longer has the ability in future episodes. So what is the point? What was the point to this episode?

    A better ending would've at least had seen him use it for REAL.

    You can fly?!?!?...... No, Jump Good.

    I thought this was a cute episode. It WAS a filler, but I enjoyed the fact that from an artistic point of view, the whole purpose of the episode was the final two Lines of the episode.

    We saw AKU tormenting Jack at the begining, and by the ending Jack had adapted.

    I took this episode as a really cute joke.

    I enjoyed it, and laughed for a minute after the end of the episode. As jokes go, I thought that the timing at the end was perfect. The whole episode was just there for the final scene. (and to generally make a fun episode.

    No, this is not an episode with a deeper meaning, but it was fun to watch, (and I liked how jack used the Staff against the other tribe rather than his sword, as the other tribe merely needed to be taught a lesson. not be massacred)

    Hmm... you could have kneeled... but you are forgiven.

    I relish any scenes that have Aku in them, so I can't dislike this episode completely. I just hope my great and powerful Master isn't defeated this season. I will miss his cruelty terribly, not to mention be out of a job
