#2 -- Too bad they didn't have Katz from Courage in there, but seeing as he was only a minor character, wouldn't see him anyway. He could've said "pity" about Gumball's hop over the fence trying to chase the laser

#3 -- Looked like something regular you'd see today, with What's New Scooby Doo repeats and Looney Tunes + The Looney Tunes Show being on CN

#4 -- That was just good. Daffy was definitely player 2, no way Mordecai loses

#5 -- Brilliant! What more can be said. Reminds me of a Scooby Doo bumper from the late 90s/early 00s, where after taking off 2 or 3 masks, the Cartoon Network logo appeared

After looking at these, I'd love to see more commercials like we used to see where the cartoon characters were going about their business at CN HQ. That'd be awesome

They should, since these are made by the guys responsible for those bumpers.

I loved the Mordecai/Daffy, and I like how these new bumpers combine characters from all eras of the channel (didn't expect to see that platypus from Camp Lazlo-whose name I can't remember-in there). I just hope that Cartoon Network does more than this to celebrate their 20th. They're doing pretty good so far, but I'd like to see them show some of their more obscure shows (Sheep in the Big City, 2 Stupid Dogs, What a Cartoon!, etc.), and maybe some old bumpers and promos. Maybe we'll see some of that sort of stuff as we get closer to October.

Brilliant, love them. Although they should variate the characters they use more. There're tons of great cartoon out there.

Not bad! The only thing it probably needs is the actual Powerhouse music... but the current CN music actually works REALLY well with this style. Maybe the original logo could be in there but I kind of think the current checkerboard actually has a bit more personality. But those are nitpicks.

This shows the kind of creative and intelligent thinking that Cartoon Network had during its branding peak. Anyone can make a 20th anniversary logo. But contracting the original design company behind what is inarguably their best look and getting them to make new ones in that style? Pure genius, and a way to celebrate the network in a way that older - and younger - viewers can appreciate.

And we're still over five months away from the anniversary! I'm waiting to see what else they're planning...

I love how Cartoon Network is airing those bumpers. It shows that they do care about their 20th.

Not sure if this is supposed to be an ad or something intern, but Turner video editor Jon Dilling (who has worked on a lot of CN stuff) uploaded to his Vimeo account a sizzle reel of CN main shows at its 20 years:

Oh man, that's amazing. I haven't watched the whole thing yet (only the first two minutes or so), but I really hope this gets aired on TV at some point.

Also I was glad to see "YOU'RE A SPACE MAN WHO CHOKED ON A MUFFIN!" in there. One of my favorite Coast to Coast moments. Could be my next signature.

EDIT: Just watched the whole thing. It was great, although I think it would have been better if it ended with Porky's "That's All Folks" line from the orginal Looney Tunes cartoons, but then again they were already well represented earlier in the montage.

Good montage, but why didn't they take the opportunity to include the 2D Clone Wars during that part of the montage?

This, this my friends is why I love animation until the day I die. CN has provided us with shows that've set the gold standard for 20 years now. I just hope the next 20 years can be this damn amazing.

P.S. I know Teen Titans is pretty hated by hardcore DC fans, but I'm glad CN gave a shout-out.

Your gif isn't working. I can sympathize with with you on that one; the same thing happened to me with my Christopher Walken gifs on April Fool's Day.

Also, did anybody find it a bit strange that Courage the Cowardly Dog wasn't in the montage?

Yeah, it's a bit strange. It's one of the older shows that often gets a slot. But I also noticed KND and Billy and Mandy weren't there too and they had a long successful run and CN's payed attention to them even after they've ended. Samurai Jack and Generator Rex haven't had a long run, but it was still decent and they should have give them a few scenes too.

Anyways, it was an amazing montage! It was even better than the 10th anniversary montage. I'm surprised they showed SGC2C, I thought they considered it as an Adult Swim show.

I think we'll see more montages and bumpers for CN's 20th anniversary, so I'm looking forward to October, even more than before!
    Stay tuned for updates!

Amazing montage and I kept saying CN wouldn't do anything special. Those 5 bumpers, Cartoon Planet, Toonami (even if it's [adult swim]) and now this amazing montage. I hope they do more.
