At least it's not Elfen Lied like last time on Tickle U...
That'd be way too kiddy for a newborn.
Cartoon Network announced on this year's Upfront that they will launch a new preschool block called "Cartoonito". It will air every weekday morning at 8am starting April 9. Here's the schedule:
8:00 - The Simpsons
8:30 - Family Guy
9:00 - American Dad
9:30 - South Park
I'm disappointed, these shows are too baby-ish and educational, even for 2 years olds.

TOONAMI: Every Saturday night on Cartoon Network, 12-6am. No excuses for not watching allowed.
After hearing parental complaints about that, Cartoon Network decided to team up with Cookie Jar Entertainment, giving them yet another block. First This TV, then CBS, what's next? Also, the block will run from 6am to 2pm eastern, competing directly with Disney Junior on Disney Channel. Here's the lineup.
6am - Will & Dewitt
6:30am - Arthur
7am - Wimzie's House
7:30am - The Busy World of Richard Scarry
8am - Busytown Mysteries
8:30am - Caillou
9am - Liberty's Kids
9:30am - Strawberry Shortcake
Unfortunately, that's where it ends.
10am - Johnny Test
10:30am - Johnny Test
11am - Johnny Test
11:30am - Johnny Test
12pm - Johnny Test
12:30pm - Johnny Test
1pm - Johnny Test
1:30pm....
Drumroll please...
SAILOR MOON!
Turns out CN doesn't really care what Cookie Jar does with this block, and between last night's Toonami stunt, the sales of the manga and Hot Topic merchandise, and the action portion of This TV, Toei let Cookie Jar buy back the rights to Sailor Moon!
Hosted by Mr. T?
I just hope that Bruce Campbell hosts the all-night Johnny Test block.
*insert another Great Piggy Bank Robbery reference here*
This isn't the e/i block I heard of. I heard CN was creating a new educational block called CN One Two that would have the sole purpose of teaching kids how to count with Brak as the host and popular CN characters fro the past and present appearing to try and learn how easy it is to count to 10. Supposed early characters appearing are Baby Ben (from Ben 10), the Powerpuff Girls in diapers, a mentally regressed Ash Ketchum, and even great anime successes from DICE and Rave Master in their preschool forms. Maybe this was shot down because they couldn't get the rights. I also heard they'd do a week long marathon of season 2 of Magi-Nation to fulfill their e/i requirements on the network.
College football, basketball, the NFL, the NBA, and MLB. I may not be an expert, but these sports always keep me fascinated if the game is good!

Beware The Almighty Hammer Gun!
Some of it was salvaged as commercial bumpers and interstitials. Magi-Nation marathons will air weekends from 6am to 9am, again, to compete with Disney Junior. The remaining action lineup now looks like this
9am - Redakai: Conquer the Kairu
9:30 - Beyblade: Metal Masters
10:00 - Pokémon BW: Rival Destinies (hey, just like the Kids' WB! days)
10:30 - Ben 10: Ultimate Alien
11:00 - ThunderCats
11:30 - Star Wars: The Clone Wars
12:00 - Green Lantern
12:30 - Young Justice
1:00-4:30 - The remaining episodes of Generator Rex (one time only)
You forgot Beavis and Butthead at 10
