Well, today is finally the day. its been a crazy run of epic looney-ness. As pumped as i am to see the season finale, i'm also sad too because its the last episode before season 2 airs (whenever that will be). So i hope the first season goes out with a bang. synopsis sounds great! Granny spirits and a laser toy? This i gotta see lol Long live The Looney Tunes Show.

This episode may be another holdover from the Laff Riot days, as storyboards involving the laser pointer were seen alongside storyboards for "Casa de Calma", created by somebody who was fired when the show was re-tooled into The Looney Tunes Show. If the scene made the cut, Sylvester should seek out Witch Hazel for therapy.

One of my favorites. I liked the focus on supporting Sylvester, seeing Wile E in 2D was neat. And yeah cats (and dogs for that matter) go crazy over laser toys and it was fun seeing that happen to Sylvester who is smarter then a normal cat.

Loved that Roadrunner short with the Ultimate Trap. Wile E finally catching the Road runner and being able to do nothing with it.

Tonight gives us the Season 1 Finale of The Looney Tunes Show (although the previous episode was intended to be so)!

*Daffy helps Porky with online dating...but not without mocking him in the process!

*Bugs show up just in time to find someone is interested in Porky and it's...Granny?!

*Bugs and Daffy show concern for Granny's loneliness...all while ignoring Porky. No doubt a jab at the double standard.

*Sylvester and Tweety are doing their regular thing until Granny decides the former should play with cat toys. He's unimpressed with all of them...

*...except for a laser pen! I really got a kick out of his obsession with it! Reminds me of when Mandy had Billy try to catch the "fairy"!

*Bugs feels as though him and Daffy should spend time with Granny instead of her pets. Daffy hangs a lamp shade on how she's still hanging out with animals, priceless!

*Granny hangs the same lamp shade Daffy just did! She decides to go sailing with them.

*Sylvester continues to search for the red dot while Tweety plays a video game.

*Tweety uses the laser pen on Sylvester which ends up driving him crazy! He eventually finds a sign for help and displays great vocabulary...which he previously got help on!

*Granny drives slowly and reaches their destination...she was talking about a yard sale!

*Sylvester waits in the lobby next to Wile E. Coyote, who makes his 1st "official" (non-Merrie Melody) traditional animated appearance on the show! The "interaction" between them was a Crowning Moment of Funny! We also know what Witch Lezah does for a living!

*Speedy's Merrie Melody was quite catchy, but poor Porky!

*Daffy acts like a hypocrite regarding what Granny is doing, hilarious! I thought for sure they'd hang a lamp shade on how ducks normally don't have teeth, but no matter.

*Bugs, Daffy and Granny go on all sorts of extreme sports! Who knew she'd still be so spry in her 90s?

*Witch Lezah helps Sylvester learn why he obsesses over the red dot...it reminds him of his mother! We also learn he has a brother! Witch Lezah even warps him to Florida!

*Sylvester is reunited with his mother...who sounds like she's the voice of Mrs. Potato Head from the Toy StoryTrilogy! His brother also stops by for a visit!

*Bugs and Daffy offer to do something with Granny, only to learn that she is content with how she's going about her life.

*Tweety also visits Witch Lezah and learns he enjoys being chased by Sylvester and gets warped to Florida.

*After being criticized by his mother and brother, Sylvester just decides he's happy chasing Tweety. The red light from his mother's necklace also fades away...

*Bugs and Daffy decided to take up yoga and end up as pretzels!

*The Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote Short was quite interesting.

*Porky decides to get a snake for a pet and ends up as its snack much to his dismay! I guess Petunia is being saved for next season.

I found it to be a good episode, it was nice to see Sylvester and Tweety get more focus! After seeing the whole the 1st Season, I can definitely say that I enjoy The Looney Tunes Show a lot! They decided to try something different from the classics and I say it works! Here's looking forward to Season 2!

The Looney Tunes Show has gone out with a bang! This episode was great! I liked how for the first time, the episodes focus on another character more than the main stars for once lol. i didnt expect to see so much of Sylvester and Tweety so that was great! My favorite part was the clip from the trailers i'd been waiting for forever when sylvester is being hit by the toy and says "And this is fun because..." LOL i was waiting for that ALL season lol. i'm pretty sure a lot of fans are dissapointed however that Petunia didn't show up. as much as i wanted her to, i kinda had a feeling she wasnt' gonna show up after awhile because the character debuts began to stop after Tina's appearance so heres hoping we'll see her next season.

All in all, this season rocked! I was really pleased with what they had to offer. according to source, next season will be a balance of this formula and a classic feel. so we'll be getting both sides of the looney tunes. I'm glad to hear that cuz it would be good to see some more slapstick once more and because if it completely left behind this formula it would slightly contradict what's already been done.

On a final note, i was disappointed that a certain Merrie Melody never showed up. idk if you guys remember this from teh trailers, but Tweety had a Merrie Melody that he was supposed to sing. he was dancing around kicking his feet up near the fire place and at the end, he's in Sylvesters mouth and he clothes it shut. I really wanted to see that one. i wonder what happened to it. i hope that it will show up in the second season though. and someone said earlier "looking forward to season 2!"

The Sylvester and the red dot thing reminds me of my philosphy class in high school.
The red dot represents the hedonistic pursuit for happiness. The instant happiness, if you know what I mean. But this instant happiness may not be the happiness he was looking for, which proves that slow, long term happiness is better than the instant version of it.

A little over-analyzing, but I like it so much.

Is Wile E. 2D supposed to be autistic?

    haha That's a pretty cool over-analysis, CinaMel.

Was this really a "hold over" from the Laff Riot days? Sweet! I guess that's why we got to see Wile E in 2D...

As for 2D Wile E's "autism" I'd say the scene is too short to tell for sure... and he was rather wrapped up in that book of his, and probably just wanted to be left alone.

My second favorite episode. I loved it. These episodes from Laff Riot are awfully good. I enjoyed having a non-Bugs, Daffy or Porky main story.

But that's the point. Autism works that way. Cold talk is out the window and what's left is creepy, smug silence between hyperistically important speeches about the very special interests they have. I have Aspergers, and I approve of that.

They tweaked it a lot, though. It didn't appear that Sylvester was sent to Florida in order to meet his mother in the original version.

Didn't know that, but the episode was still great regardless.

Another "Laff Riot" leftover... which might explain why this one was one of the funniest episodes of the season, alongside "Casa de Calma." I too appreciated a story focused on Sylvester (who along with Tweety have come through this show mostly unchanged, fortunately); the scene with his mother was hilarious.

And thus ends the first season of TLTS. Hopefully the second season will be more like this episode (and/or Casa); if not, I'm not sure I see myself sitting through another season's worth of episodes that remind me more of "Seinfeld" (since I hate "Seinfeld" :-p )...

My thoughts exactly. Best episode since Casa de Calma.... ugh. What idiot executive saw Laff Riot and decided to fire everyone working on it? Seriously, I wanna know his name so I can harass him until the final episode of LTS.

    I also hate Seinfeld.

People who hate signfeld have no taste. Greatest Sitcom ever.

Jest kidding if you hate the show that's fine I don't, I do think it's one of the best sitcom's of all time. I also don't see The Looney Tunes show being that much like it but that's me.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the shout out to Friz Freleng with the Freleng Help Center or Porky watching his first cartoon with Daffy Duck in the MM.

I find it funny that Porky is more of a ladies man in the MM than the actual show.

I noticed of Porky watching Porky's Duck Hunt in the MM, but I wasn't aware about the shoutout to Friz with the help center. It was finally great to see a 2-D Wile E. at last (love the book he was reading) and a secondary character (Sylvester) getting a story. I also found Tweety very cute during his trickery with the laser pointer with Sylvester. Overall, I give this episode an "A".

Well, I personally think that "Casa de Calma" is waaay overrated, and I actually felt sorry for Daffy in that episode, since most of what he got, he didn't have coming to him (unlike the classic shorts). Though... I'll admit, this one day when they showed "Casa de Calma" right after "The Float", I found myself highly enjoying all the violence against Daffy. But I still stand by my feeling that people seem to give that episode a lot more praise than it really deserves.

That being said, though, I definitely loved this episode. It was quite nice to see so much focus on Sylvester. I honestly wasn't expecting that, and it was a pleasant surprise. I'm really hoping more episodes in the future will have large focus on other characters besides the Bugs/Daffy/Porky trio. I know we've had some focus on other characters before, too, so this wasn't a first, but there still needs to be a lot more, I think.

Also... I really, REALLY hope that season 2 has Petunia.
