Adventure Time, Regular Show and MAD did a great job and it seems that Adventure Time is still doing very good in reruns. When I saw that The Problem Solverz got 1.6 again I thought there was hope that it may get a second season, but now when I saw it was a typo, I highly doubt that it'll be renewed. This will be CN's shortest lived original series with only 2 months and 16 days of original run.

Wow, Regular Show is really proving it's worth with decent numbers like that, Adventure Time is helping out quite a bit too but I'd still like to see these shows get up over that 2.0 viewer mark like they were last year and earlier this year.

Still, it's good to know that CN is nailing the demo's that they are looking to get, now it's just a matter of attracting more people outside of those key demo's...

I'm not giving up on TPS that easily - keep in mind it's obviously cheaper to produce than the other shows (which is why CN isn't rerunning it as often), so it's running from a different bear.

In contrast to the above post, I will gladly give up on it.

And yet, Hole in the Wall continues to get bad ratings, and it's get new episodes? Seems like poor decision making on their part.

That's not exactly what I mean, I was referring to the fact that saying "it's doomed" is basically counting your chickens before they hatch, since TPS is a cheap show to produce.

As for Hole in the Wall, keep in mind it's a reality show, and unscripted shows are generally cheaper to produce than scripted ones. Heck, it's probably cheaper to produce than TPS. So it's running from an even slower bear.

Oh yeah, I know they are cheaper to air since it didn't cost as much, but as the saying goes, "You get out what you put in."

Meaning the less effort they put into shows, the less people feel inclined to watch said shows.

Why? The only thing that matters to advertisers, and therefor what determines the worth of a show in the network's eyes, is the key demographic. A toy company isn't going to buy advertising slots because a network has a lot of 30 year-olds watching it, it's going to buy those slots because a show has good kids demo ratings. When it comes to a show getting renewed or cancelled, the total viewer ratings matter VERY little, that's why when the ratings reports come out I always go straight to the k-211 (although the K 6-11 is actually CN's target demo, we don't usually get it)

EDIT: Tuesday Ratings via Travis Yanan
    The Looney Tunes Show (TOON)
    - 2.228 million viewers
    - 1.4/2 HH
    - 0.5/2 A18-49
    - 1.2/5 T12-17
    - 3.0/11 K2-11

    Gumball (TOON)
    - 1.937 million viewers
    - 1.2/2 HH
    - 0.3/1 A18-49
    - 1.0/3 T12-17
    - 3.0/11 K2-11

I'm glad The Looney Tunes Show is still doing great. Gumball really should just premiere on Tuesdays. Mondays aren't as fresh and Tuesdays would work better.

More eyes for the shows are better regardless of if the viewer is not within the targeted demo or not. If a 35 year old is watching CN and see's an advertisment for something that he thinks his son/daughter/nephew/niece would enjoy then he would be more prone to pick it up for them and make a purchase than if he's never seen the advertisment at all. Right? The same goes with teenagers, kids aren't the only people who may be interested in an action figure or a video game they may see a commercial for on CN, teens and young 20's who may collect or want to purchase an item that they see in a commercial for CN are out there and the more people who view these shows the more advertisers will want to put commercials on CN. The more advertisers who want to purchase time on CN allows CN to ask for more money to do so, in the end the network wins and nothing anyone can say will change that.

More viewers both in and outside of the demo can only help the network. Period.

Toon took the comedy block off of Friday nights for a reason: they were getting trounced in the ratings by the premieres on the competing kids' networks. It they put the comedies back there now, it would just be more of the same.

Monday nights are better for CN's comedies, since they're not up against anything major on Disney or Nick.

They are however experimenting with comedy reruns on Friday next week. I doubt they'll move comedy premieres back to Friday for the reasons you mentioned among others but they might be moving action off Friday if the comedies do better there.

I'm honestly curious how well CN's current comedies could do in premieres on Fridays against Nick and Disney's bigger premieres but I think we've seen enough evidence from when either of those channels puts a big premiere on Monday to screw with CN and the results are never good for CN.

So a 2.4, a 2.0, a 2.2, and a 2.1. Well the Looney Tunes Show seems to be holding up in ratings.
That one show about that one cat that did that one thing that involved doing some things that he wouldn't normally do or should be doing but he did it anyway for laughs?

You know what that thing did? It spawned a lot of naughty internet things.

Wow, stellar ratings for The Looney Tunes show from last night! I'm really impressed at how well it seems to be doing for itself and I certainly hope it keeps up this high level of viewership for Cartoon Network, they can definately use it.
