Can't wait. This season has been great so far.

The previews suggest more lines for High-five Ghost. Sweetness!
Oh, so that's a hand on the ghost's head. I always thought it was a fork, lol.
Looking forward to this. Regular Show is my favorite show on CN atm. Hope we get DVDs of it soon (along with Adventure time)

"The Truth is I don't appreciate you"
I would've quit right then and there. Screw Benson, I would tell him off and leave with dignity instead of trying to get-
Wow Benson, you would right that in the records book? I'm starting to hate Benson, alot after this episode.

I like the way that Skips....skips. For such a hulking character you would figure him to walk like a gorilla or at least walk like he is a massive muscle man, but no, Skips actually skips and it never ceases to make me laugh.
As for tonights episode, I though it was "eh", it wasn't too funny in my opinion but it had one or two moments that got to me.
Wow that is some book!![]()
Fan of jrpgs, anime, and cartoons.
Muscleman and High-five Ghost! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Breathing book?!
Amiable Benson?
Good to see monster back! ...I think!
Thinking of a number.
A snow monster that breathes fire. That's a first.
I liked how crazy this episode was but I felt there wasn't much humor in it.![]()
Very funny, action-packed episode. Some witty one-liners in this one.
They all think I'm crazy, but I know better. It is not I who am crazy. It is I who am mad.

Ok, so no High-five Ghost lines, but good in itself this episode was. I'm recognizing a pattern for making Regular Show plots:
Step1: Take a cliche pre-existing cartoon plot.
Step2: Add a close encounter with death, or major conflict.
Step3: Leave the audience feeling like nothing was really resolved at the end.
Simple, but effective.
Hmmm... Benson has appreciated Mordecai and Rigby in the past (i.e. their rock band performance) but that was conveniently forgotten here.
I know this is a comedy toon, but for something that relies heavily on dialogue and character interactions for it's humor, I'd like to see a tad more consistency rather than going for pure negative continuity. I'm not asking for story arcs or long-term character development or anything like that, I'm simply talking about consistency in how the characters behave towards each other.
Overall though, it was just average with no real gutbusting laughs from me. It played the "magical book whose events come to reality" concept too straight.
Eh, decent. Like others have said, this show is starting to fall in a pattern and it's best to try something new before we get tire of it so early in the run.
As I've said in the past, giving another character, besides the main duo, to have an episode of their own wouldn't hurt. 'A Day In The Life Of Pops', perhaps?
"...And then Rorschach goes 'BARNEY! My Pebbles!' or some such thing... but it was really funny."
This episode was boring and Benson was a jackass (seriously I could do a whole rant on how much he sucked this episode)!!!
This episode was not very funny and everything was predictale. I don't think it's because the show's normal plot line is "too reptitive" or anything because they're were like 20 episodes before this that rocked! It just wasn't original/funny enough this week. I mean Mordecai and Rigby didn't have any of their unique, iconic dialogue like "OOOH" or anything like that! It was just normal dialogue that anyone would say! I think the episode was storyboarded/written by different people than normal (?) I don't know I thought the names were different on the title card, but I couldn't really tell cuz it went by so fast.
I have not been enjoying Season 2 so far anywhere near as much as Season 1 (although Ello Govnor had it's usual wit and charm). I really hope it gets better.
I liked the snow monster that breathed fire and Muscle Man doing donuts in the golf cart, but that seriously was it.![]()

We're at season 2? That was quick.
This episode was good. We got some Benson interaction with Mordecai and Rigby. The show ran off a track of normal life into a crazy fun trip which, is something I like about this show. I think the changes for Mordecai and Rigby changing the book could have been funnier but, I'm not complaining. Skips is becoming more and more likable ever episode. I was happy to see Benson appreciated them in their dreams, good for them. I hope for a better episode next week.
Eh. It was an okay episode. Not as good as last week's, but decent.
I agree. I was hoping that when M&R started altering the book, that we'd get an episode akin to the "Gone Wishin" episode of Flapjack, where they just spend 11 minutes screwing with reality and creating all kinds of ridiculous nonsense. They SORTA did that, but they could've done a lot more with the concept.
Please no. Pops is so irritating. In my opinion, Regular Show is a show that doesn't have strong enough side-characters to carry an entire episode on their own.
You do realize you're referring to a talking GUMBALL machine? If this was a show that tried to be serious, and had a human cast, then i'd probably agree with you. But I can't really get mad at him, because everytime I see him, i'm always almost-laughing at the absurd idea of a talking gumball machine. I just can't take him seriously, no matter how straight they try to make the character.
Edit: Actually, now that I think about it, how can anybody be mad at Benson? In almost every episode, M&R (Though it's usually just Rigby) create bizarre situations that nearly get everybody killed. (Take today's episode for example. Skips broke his leg because of them. OUCH.) I think Benson's hatred and disrespect towards the two is justified. (..Oh gosh am I starting to take him seriously now?)

I don't think Benson was being a bad guy here but he should have shown at least some appreciation for Mordecai and Rigby. They have after all been good employees on occasion though sometimes that still ends badly. Case and point the overtime for concert tickets followed by them running into him and spilling his balls. I suppose they've done some work off-screen but Muscle Man and High Five Ghost hardly seem like model employees deserving of appreciation if Mordecai and Rigby aren't qualified.
So yeah I agree with all those folks saying continuity fowl or at the very least continuity laziness.
That said it was plenty enjoyable.
Now let us ponder how a fire breathing snow monster would manage to not melt itself anytime it used fire.
