Is Ben 10 really that popular? This would put the total amount of episodes from all three series at 150. I know that it has been a hit, but I never realized it was so monstrously successful that these huge episode orders could be justified.
That was quick!

Well, they still have commercials for the different alien toys and there are a few video games for the series as well. I'm not sure if its monstrously successful, but it's definitely doing well enough to warrant all of those episodes.
Anyway, I'm not too surprised that Ultimate Alien is renewed considering how successful Ben 10 has been as a whole for Cartoon Network. I'm more surprised that they already renewed Generator Rex when they only aired the first episode. I guess that they were confident with the series and thought it would be good to give it some more episodes.
I am not surprised. Those two shows had strong premiere numbers, as did Adventure Time, and I think it's telling that Cartoon Network is showing a lot of love for their animated properties for the first time in a long time.
Of course, it also proves why advertising a project works wonders too. If you plug it, they will watch.
What does the X stand for? It's definitely not Extreme. Extreme starts with E.
So how many episodes does Generator Rex have now?
Yes, this makes me happy, for I love both shows![]()
One Piece fan. Bleach fan.
That's what CN has to realize that! They bring strong ratings with their original cartoons than their live action shows. Also as you mention Jeff, when they advertise something it will work wonders, too bad they didn't do that with The Secret Saturdays or else it would've bring them alot of ratings since the last season was the best.
btw, the additional 20 episodes for Rex will be included with the 13 episodes of season 2? I heard they where already working on season 2.

Sweet because Generator Rex was awesome. It deserved it.
well the Ben 10 series is my favorite CN original series ,so this new make me happy.
By this time Ben 10 has become one of Toon's most reliable cash cows, so I'm not surprised by Ultimate Alien's renewal, but Generator Rex must've really had a great premiere for Toon to order a second season after just 1 episode.
Neither of these shows are my cup of tea personally (I'm generally more into comedy than dark action-y stuff, and I've never been in Man of Action's power), but I'm glad to see that Cartoon Network is taking a genuine interest in their animated shows.

In my opinion both shows are awesome so far, so i'm happy![]()
Wait, 32 additional episodes of Ultimate Alien? How much did they order before? If it was 13 episodes, then Alien Force and Ultimate Alien will have almost the same episode count, but if it was 26, then this'll be the longest Ben 10 series (at least...for now).
Awesome news though, and great to hear that Generator Rex'll be around for a bit longer. It easily had the most epic premiere of a CN action series in years.

That's what I thought, about them originally having 20 episodes so far... damn. It premiered last Friday and it already is planned for 52 episodes? Definately looking forward to this... let's hope that they use this amount of episodes wisely.:anime:

As insurprising as Ben 10's is I'm glad to see CN's faith in Generator Rex.:anime:
