I knew Chowder was going to be canceled all along. The series finale was even confirmed just in case. Hopefully it'll air later this year.![]()
I guess we already saw this coming, but the creator has confirmed that Chowder has been cancelled.

: Pepper Spray? That sounds delicious! AAAAAHHHH! I was wrong! I was horribly wrong!
Did I ever mention my FanFiction?
Happy to hear the Billy and Mandy/Chowder crew found new jobs. They're a very talented bunch.
I'm surprised of how many upsides Greenblatt sees in Chowder's cancellation. It's like he doesn't even care about the show anymore.
Huh. I wonder what that's about. My biggest worry before we were cancelled was what would happen to the crew, but luckily, a large chunk of them got hired over at Disney on a new project. It's funny how many old CN faces I see over there now.
Well, in any case, Chowder had a good run and it really sucks to see it go.
RIP Chowder 2007-2010
I'm glad he was able to turn that frown upside-down. I've always heard stories about how upsetting it is to have a show you worked so hard on get canceled. So we should all be happy about the new opportunities that has risen for him.

This is a sad day, we all knew it was coming but now its been confirmed and suddenly my heart is feeling a little heavy. Its sad, CN really just kind of gave up on this show and stopped caring which is odd because at one point I really felt like this show was going to become CN\\\'s mega-hit, I thought it was going to become their Spongebob....but better. CN seems to giveth and taketh away too often and its beginning to bother me more than it ever has, I just hope these two new shows that CN Tweeted about are going to be good and have some longevity to them.
Eh, I'm disappointed by this news, but we all saw it coming; this just confirms it. In the entertainment business, just like in life, crap happens.
It's a pity that such a wonderful, whimsical show has been cut down so early in its' life, and I would've liked to have seen what Greenblatt and company would've done had they been allowed the opportunity, but thankfully, he and many of his crew have found work elsewhere, so there's at least that.
Chowder was a fun ride, and I enjoyed it while it was around. Thanks for the laughs, Mr. Greenblatt.

Chowder was fun at first but was never able to pull me in. I was like that one fish that kept wiggling off the hook. I'm glad to see that he's in high spirits. That's the positive attitude that you should have when something like this happens. Maybe when he's in Japan he can contribute to some animated project over there or just relax and take in the culture.
Seems like Disney is gonna become the new 90's era CN. Open to all aspiring animators. The "in place". With KVK, P&F, Jimmy Two-Shoes, and Tom Warburton's new project, it's going to practically cemented as the #1 rated kids network. Although CN has been improving lately (more Flapjack, Adventure Time, SBT, Rex, two new shows from the creator of Superjail! and the people behind Flapjack, classic marathons) their countermeasures may not be enough. Snyder and co are crapping themselves right now.
Thoughts?

They’ve got other animated projects in development as well. Perhaps the “Chowder” crew got some work on one of those projects.
Also, Mike Milo said this about William Reiss on Cartoon Brew…Originally Posted by The Animation Guild Blog

I kind of knew this would happen. I know its ratings have been slipping for a while, but they weren't that bad. If I was in charge I would have renewed it for at least one more season.
An authentic blend of 23 flavors
How many episodes are left for Chowder anyway? I heard it was 6 or so, but I have not heard any confirmation on that. I guess we will have to chalk Chowder up as another great CN show that got the axe before it fully matured, but I can live with it as long as one of these newly announced animated projects is good and has some longevity, but no new Chowder will definatly leave a hold in my already shot up heart that I have built up for CN.
Love that quote, and I hope Greenblatt finds another job at a network who appreciates him, so he can go and kick CN's butt in ratings to show them what they're losing. It's nice to hear from other networks how much they enjoy the show, especially when you don't really hear it from your own.

I hope he really means that. He knows various CN employees probably read his blog and he doesn't want to give them the satisfaction of a "CN sucks! I am so angry!" post, so he may have sugar-coated his feelings a bit just to appear "cool with it" to get back at them.
Like with the renewed CN Real barrage, this comes as no surpirse, though this is definitely a sad turn of events. Cartoon Network screwed with this charming show a lot and eventually that mortally wounded it. The show was really popular in its first season and I can't help but wonder what would have happened if Cartoon Network remained in support of the show instead of subtly trying to kill it.
The idea that Disney is taking an interest in Chowder's staff is a shocker considering that the Disney Channel has exactly one cartoon running on the network but then again maybe they want to try to give animation a significant boost.

Just because Chowder's team might be going to Disney, doesn't mean they'll be working on animation.
Only a few more episodes left 'till Chowder's season finale...
WolfGran (formerly YogiBR123) - est. 2008
More than likely, it does...
And Chowder's got about 12 half hours left.
I'm not sure if i understand how cn was trying to subtly kill chowder. I thought they were giving chowder the same treatment they gave flapjack? Of course i might just be way off.
as for greenblatt, sounds like he is going to get a bunch of opportunities from other networks so i'm really excited for what he does next. Especially with a nickelodeon or disney channel behind him (i'm assuming its one of those networks b/c i can't think of any other animation networks)
To Mr. Greenblatt and his crew: Congrats on a job well done, best of luck in the future...and thank you.![]()
