This is the talkback thread for "Underfist" Is for the Underaged.
Oh, I've going to be crucified for this one...
I never liked Bill and Mandy at all and everything i've read on this "Underfist" buisness just seems weak. I will be skipping this one.
I find it dumb that people would attack you just because of a negative review. Oh wait people were attacking you for your "Secret Saturdays" review before they even saw the show.
Still it's your opinion and not everyone likes the same thing. Really should every review be positive? No. Nothing is beloved by all. I have no problem with you not liking the movie/special.
I hope I do I am a big Billy and Mandy Fan. I just hope Fred Fredburger is less annoying this time around.
Max Atoms' stuff has always had great artwork, but the material itself always bugged me with it's gross-out humor and overall mean-spiritedness.
Same here. I like Billy and Mandy's earlier episodes because there was less unnecessary boogers and worms coming out of eyeballs and stuff. But his art has always been good.
I agree with creativerealms, no one should attack you for your opinion if you give an explanation about it. You don't like it, but I'll check it out myself because everyone has different opinions.

For the last time, I wasn’t attacking him. I was merely suggesting that he should have watched more episodes before deciding that he would never watch another episode of the series. As for “Underfist”, it wasn’t a television series and there aren’t any other episodes that he could have watched, so the circumstances are entirely different. I have no problem with this review.

That review seemed a bit harsh to me![]()
The film was harsh me.![]()
I love Billy and Mandy. I hope that this review is wrong. The clips on Cartoon Network Video were made of pure epic win.

I’ve been thinking. Is it really a surprise that “Underfist” is for the underaged, as the review so put it? It’s a children’s cartoon. Everything on Cartoon Network isn’t going to be like “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” or “Total Drama Island”. Old farts like us, who aren’t in the show’s target demographic, aren’t always taken into consideration.

I've seen plenty of children's shows I like. Courage the Cowardly Dog, Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Doraemon, Anpanman, One Piece, and Johnny Bravo to name a few. The Power Puff Girls, too!
I was also slightly partial to Hamtaro.![]()
I know. I’m not criticizing your review; I’m merely saying that, as we get older, we are less inclined to enjoy the animated programs that are designed specifically for children. The children’s animation of the past is a lot different from the children’s animation of the present, and the children’s animation of the future will be a lot different as well. Some people will continue to love children’s animation and I suspect that I will be one of them, but not everybody is going to enjoy every children’s animated program that they watch. I’m not good at debating the issues and I probably sound like an idiot, but I was just making a general observation; “Underfist” is for the underaged. It was designed to be for the underaged. So, even though older people can enjoy it, not everybody will.

So, is this meant to be a spinoff of Billy and Mandy or just a one time special?

Spoiler:
Just a one-time special.
I would'nt really call Johhny Bravo & Courage "Kid Shows" Yes Kids wathced them but I watch the Rereuns as a Teen & Still Find them Enjoyable...Ecspecially Johhny Bravo. Id call most of the origional Cartoon Cartoons "Family Shows" Before i'd call em kids shows. But thats just my openion.

I don't know, if you put "for kids" and "for adults" on a continuum, the middle section is occupied by "for kids but still appealing to adults" and "for adults but still appealing for kids," plus that really small sweet spot right smack in the center which genuinely appeals to everybody. All the stuff on Cartoon Network or Nick is supposed to be over on the "for kids" side of that continuum, but between CN, Disney, and Nick, it seems that CN was the one that staked out that center portion and was willing to swing further into the "for adults" side of that range than the others. Stuff like Dora the Explorer, on the other hand, is way over on that "for kids" side of the line and well outside the "but still appealing to adults" zone. I think all Jacob is getting at is that Underfist falls on the outer edge of that "for kids but still appealing to adults" zone and towards pure kiddie fare.
Plus, you know, it made for a snappy headline and that matters. Coming up with a good one is harder than it looks sometimes.
