--Yahoo! TV, J.Q. is coming back on Saturday nights after the Weekend Adult Swim block. The crippled, catatonic villain in the wheelchair was always one of my favorites....
Can anyone tell me what happened to this relatively short lived series? I don't know about anyone else but I really enjoyed it for the year or so that it was on. Some good stuff in those eps. Any chance it's still airing or any plans on it coming back?

I think that's the original "J.Q," not the "Real Adventures of J.Q." that's returning.Originally posted by DR. BELCH

Joe, you have this uncanny knack for liking the same shows I do. It's sorta freaky.Originally posted by jjwspider

Anyway, this isn't gonna be on CN for the immediate future. They had it scheduled to start airing 12/26/01 at 6 in the morning EST, but at the last minute, it was replaced with Thundercats. The original 60s JQ series is gonna air at 3/3:30 a.m. after Adult Swim Action, though, if you're interested. Hopefully, CN will find some space on their schedule for JQ:TRA, even in the wee hours of the morning (God bless the man who invented the VCR).

That is kinda freaky - first Xyber 9 and now The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest - I always thought this series was really well done. Hmm...maybe I'll have to start the quest for some VHS tapes, altho DVD would be preferred - but that would be wishing for to much!Originally posted by MTDiva

I wouldn't call 52 episodes "short lived".Originally posted by jjwspider

I seem to remember problems with in the shows development that led to changes of both the majority of the voice cast, and changing to a different overseas animation studio about half-way through production. Then of course there was the problem that the new producers (at least I think they were new) wanted to get rid of the CGI Quest World part of the show and CN wanted to keep it, an agreement was never reached so CN decided not to order more episodes. From there the series went into endless repeats, which eventually doomed the series to very low ratings, which is basically why it hasn't been on CN for the last few years.
It's too bad, I thought it was a decent show.
I also thought they were running it on Boomerang, but I could be wrong.
