Sorry if there is a already thread about this. According to PPG Townsville is located in the USA but isn't Townsville located in Austrailia? Love to hear your answer thanks!

There are differences between fictional and reality. This is one of them.

That said, yeah, I was surprised too that there was a town named Townsville in Australia. Wonder how often Townsville, Australia is the butt of PPG jokes?

^ Because that ref in 'Him Riddle Diddle' is just a joke, not an actual effort to give us Townsville's location. Those coordinates- 32 degrees north by 212 degrees west (148 degrees east)- actually denote an empty spot in the Pacific Ocean, about 400 miles east and 250 miles south of Japan.

Admittedly, such a locale *would* explain the proximity of Monster Island.
