CN launches official Ben 10 website

    Like This Thread!
For those curious about CN's upcoming superhero show, an official website has been launched containing information, pictures, and a clip. It can be found here.

It's anime-inspired for sure. The character designs look like an odd cross between Teen Titans and Martin Mystery. I can't say anything about the clip, though, due to the fact that I can't watch it. (My browser crashes whenever it tries to use the embedded windows media player)

It looks interesting enough, so I'll be sure to catch the show when it debuts in January.

Well the song for the intro sounds really cheesy but still i don't judge the cartoon until i see it, curious that the villain of Ben10 is similar at Megas, that he also wants something that belongs to him and Ben has it.

    Hah Steven Blum strikes again!

The art is pretty bland IMO but the creature designs aren't bad.

The show is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay juvenile feeling. Thank heavens it's not on Toonami.

    Ehh..

    This show looks "meh"...

I'll check it out again once it comes out...

But I think this will be a "pass" to me.

As Sketch pointed out... Good thing it didn't end up on Toonami.

CN might actually get some folks to watch it since I know at least 4kidsTV is in rerun mode for the most part in January and I'm guessing other blocks are as well. They don't have much to worry about until mid February.

Really I thought 6-11 kids might enjoy it. Eh...

I'm getting tired of "anime-esque" design it always looks so "fake". Can we go back to something more traditional to NA animation for once?

Yeah it seems pretty on par with Loonatics doesn't it? Both visually and writing wise.

It really does feel quite weak for a CN original. They truely have fallen a lot and they seem to not want to fix that. I'm surprised Foster's is worth watching and Lazlo is tollerable because this is just garbage.

I'd have to agree with you Matt. CN can't make good cartoons anymore. Then again if IGPX is any indication... they're not so good at co-productions either. And so we turn to CN and laugh and weep at what they have become for we know the end is all too near. At least for CN as we know it.

...round about the most entertaining thing about that is the fact that Ben's grandad looks like a fat, out-of-work Race Bannon.

If you need an example of overexaguration, here it is.

I have a belief that in terms of Cartoons, this is the off season. Nothing is really catching people apart from Fosters from CN and Avatar from Nick. Mostly adult toons are dominating. People probably said that before the golden age of Cartoon Network Originals so I'm going to stick by it for a few more months to see whether something happens to start something good. May it be a change of direction or maybe the hireing or bringing in of a whole new animating talent, something is bound to happen.

Yes, I'm looking through rose tinted glasses. But I do it to counter through the people wearing dark shaded ones.

Holy crap, worse than Camp Lazlo? Granted, the art style is worse in Ben 10, but this was just dull to sit through; every episode of Lazlo I've seen was actually painful.

Sigh.... Come to think of it... I always had a feeling that this show would be garbage,

Hmm... Maybe that's too strong of a word, but I honestly feel that it is.

The whole thing just looks so.... "Meh."

Why won't people admit that Cartoon Network as we knew it died when Toonami shifted to Saturdays, when Cartoon Network switched over to poorer programming, and when the three breaks per half-hour system went into place network-wide?

Then again, the real end of Cartoon Network as we knew it occurred in 2001, when Betty Cohen left. They're still a bit creative, but not really. Their best work doesn't even come from their own studio anymore.

The writing is so, just, bad. It's really not that hard to write a decent script, let alone they put in more effort then they probably had to ignore most of there own writing skills, I can't understand why so many shows are written so witless and horrible, its not that hard to type up a decent joke.
When was last time you even heard a person say the word 'dufus' anyway.

The funniest thing in all 10 minutes was the Grandpa, and only because his voice acting was so bad that he kept the same tone throughout the whole clip.

The artstyle was 'meh'. Quite Teen Titans-esque, even down to the aliens (which designs were also pretty meh, the squid headed dude was pretty dumb looking though) so I really that have too many problems with the overall animation, beside some framerate issues.

But don't expect anything, its all pretty lame.

I think it looks alright. I'm not going to write it out just yet. I'll keep an open mind and watch it.

I'll try to keep an open mind and watch this, too, before I take any potshots at it.

But I can safely say that CN Studios animation is slowly turning into a small division of Warner Brothers Animation...and it shows...

I thought most kids shows outgrew incredibly stupid "geekwad" "dorkface" "lol girl" fake insults.

The dialogue causes my ears to bleed.
