    Samurai Jack DVD - Crap.

I know what really goes on with these "never before seen" episodes, guys.

What happens is, they take an episode that's set to air on CN, and yank it off for an ENTIRE 1 1/2 YEARS. And then they hide the episode on the DVD as an easter egg.

It's happened to all the PPG dvds.

The problem is that Samurai Jack is a moving story. Taking an episode out is going to ruin the entire continuity.

Hey, I like Easter Eggs, and if the "never before seen" episode is the one featured in the "Behind the Sword" documentary (the "Dome of Doom" episode), I can hardly wait to see what the finished product looks like.

BTW, have you found any "Easter Eggs" on the "Meet the Beat-Alls" DVD? I can't find anything!

bah....I like the never-before-seen episode idea. Maybe you're wrong..maybe it's just an episode they felt that slowed the series down.

I never got the logic of "lost episodes", but maybe I think to logically. It takes weeks of hard work and lots of money to churn out a 20 minutre episode....how can it just get lost? It goes through the entire scripting process, storyboards, and animation to find out they don't air it? Who makes that decision, and why didn't they just not make it to begin with or at least stop it in the process?

Anyways, I think the idea of extra episodes on a DVD is cool, but just air them on TV. I don't know how much of a draw it is to see these missing episodes, espically for CCF shows. I mean there are only like 3 CCF sites (lots of Powerpuff, handful of Sam Jack) on the web, and I can't imagine there would be a major demand for Powerpuff Girls or Samurai Jack lost episode...not at DVD prices...that's my opinion.

With the The Mane Event DVD, an episode was hidden on it, "Power Lunch/Helter Shelter." This episode would have aired normally, but CN -purposefully- made it "lost" to scrounge up some extra cash on the release.

A year and a half later, the episode finally aired on TV, labelled as "new", despite being in a previous season.

Yep, Matt's completely right. Wait long enough and you'll see that SJ ep. on TV.

This DVD isn't particularly impressing me. It sounds like they are just adding the short documentary from Tartakovsky that was everywhere during the premiere and that still airs from time to time, along with the commentary. I'd love to have a season box set, but I already taped this episode and documentary, and I'm not going to buy it when I'll eventually see this "lost" episode.
