Are the Downtown Dogs supposed to be canine caricatures of famous Intergang leaders from the Superman Comics?
Because the resemblance is uncanny.
I just watched it and I loved the 1st one but didn't like the 2nd one much.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Bathound Meets The Dog Stars:It was a pretty cool episode. I found it downright hilarious when Hot Dog began moving about the ship in a bizarre way to see whoever was making the tapping noise. Poor Hot Dog,I hope his firebreath returns soon.
5 Stars!
A Dog's Life:This episode kind of bored me. I was never a fan of Jimmy the Rat or the Downtown dog gang. I tend to favor Streaky and Dog Star episodes the most.
3 Stars...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Little sister,hits the stage
She can't help it,she's coming of age
Little junior,he's all in a rage
Did you notice she was coming of age
-Damn Yankees:Tommy Shaw,Jack Blades and Ted Nugent
Pretty good, but not great, episodes I thought.
Bat Hound meets the Dog Stars: Some funny moments involving Hot Dog and this episode's villain. The Dog Stars really underestimated Bat Hound at first but it appears a lesson was learned by all. Ace is always amusing and his presence really helped.
***1/2
A Dog's Life: Jimmy the Rat disguised as a dog turned out to be a kind of funny idea, but maybe not enough to sustain an entire cartoon. I would have rather seen more of Krypto or the other regulars.
***
Not bad, but there seemed to be something missing, a certain character who usually brings this show up a notch for me, a character who has been missing from the last four first-run shows. Fortunately, it looks like he reappears next week. About time, too! (If you can't guess who I'm referring to, see my avatar!)
I missed it. When will this be rerun?

Snooky seems to be over used doesn't Machanacat have any other evil cat minions to use? Besides Snooky there is only the female cat from Feline Fatale that comes to mind.
anyway the first half was pretty good but I did not like the second half that much.

Bathound sure taught those Do Stars a thing or two about using brains instead of relying on powers. I do hope we get to see him on some future missions with the Dog Stars. I do think they've overused the Dog Stars though. They need Bathound to appear more often.

Beware The Almighty Hammer Gun!
I liked the first one, although I thought Ace seemed a little too nervous. With Batman on the Justice League or Robin on the Titans, they always compensate for lack of power by coming in, figuring everything out, and getting their hands dirty. I guess Ace is lucky Hotdog was abducted or else he wouldn't have been able to do that. I wonder if Tusky Husky has a sister he can introduce to Ace (what can I say? My dog is a sheppard/husky mix).
The second one I didn't have that much enthusiasm for. Wouldn't Krypto be a bit more upset that the Downtown Dogs now have some small guy to help them break into places?
...wait, Snooky's a GUY?!

I'm also in shock about Snooky's gender. He seems quite feminine to me. Perhaps he's a hermaphrodite or something.Originally Posted by 90'sCartoonMan

Snookie is a guy? That makes all that fanart..... OH GOD![]()
to be honest, i follow the whole thing for streaky's role in the series.
He's by far my favorite thing about the show but Bat Hound is cool too and they both work well with Krypto. The Dog Stars are okay in small doses.Originally Posted by crayon
The show has three main heroes who are all appealing characters, so why is Jimmy the Rat getting most of the screen time in an episode? I don't get that at all.
Perhaps he's like Star Trek: The Generation's Data's cat Spot who changes genders as the story requires it. Either way, if Snooky IS a guy he just got a whole lot creepier.Originally Posted by 90'sCartoonMan
Finally saw it.
Bathound Meets the Dog Stars: Bathound is always cool and it was nice him showing up the annoying Dogstars. I really enjoyed the episode when I was watching it and it elilicited a few chuckles. ****.
A Dog's Life: I also saw no particular need to build an entire episode around Jimmy the Rat. **.
Average: ***.

They were sure funny episodes. What's up with Jimmy the rat?, and I taught Kevin already met Ace the Bathound?
