I loved it! I hope to see this become a Christmas staple! Plympton always delivers great work, whether it's twisted or a tad more middle of the road.
So, anyone else catch this?
Not as twisted as most of Plympton's work, but it had some nice bits. Especially "The Peddler and the Donkey."

Certainly good, but it didn't leave quite the impression on me as Plympton's other works. Then again, I STILL haven't tracked down a copy of "I Married A Strange Person."

You read it... you can't un-read it!
i loved it! the way their facial expressions are exaggerated and the way the animation looks sloppy but i really liked it! it was pretty funny....![]()
Well, you can find it via this site at our STORE and typing in the name of the DVD at the bottom of the page in the search engine. It will take you to Amazon.com, but show your support for this site and go there thru here!Originally posted by The Mad Hatter

Was anyone else expecting a parody of The Birds? Of course, this was toned down considerably for Cartoon Network. Maybe seeing IMASP on Adult Swim, as I suggested, isn't too farfetched a dream after all.
In the original Christmas tree story, after the holidays the tree is incinerated and wishes desperately that he'd stayed in the forest where he was...but they went with a completely different ending. Still, it was the only real clunker of the night...and the girl who repeatedly schemed to kiss the boy was a riot....

Well I finally caught this special yesterday, and I must say I enjoyed it. It was a cartoon my mom actually liked! The animation style is truly unique to Plympton, and the humor is insane yet storybook-like (I need a better word there). Anyways, I thought the special was a nice breathe of fresh air on CN and I hope to see more creative specials in the future.
