What the heck is wrong with CN?

    Like This Thread!
It seems more evident than ever with the disptaching of TMNT to the 6:30 death slot that CN doesn't give a care about any viewers over the age fo 11. What is going through CN's head? They bow to the 6-11 demographic and seem to ignore the 9-14 and 13-17(It's 13-17, not 14-17, right? Maybe it's 12-17... something like that.) What's wrong with them?

Everyday, it's the same thing...."What's with CN? What's with CN?"

Ratings, my friend.....ratings. They're competing with Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. Simple as that. The older audiences aren't in the mainstream (not enough older people are tuning in), the 6-11-year-olds are. CN only targets older audiences with its [adult swim] block. They're after those where the money is at. The reason TMNT deals with all these timeslot changes are simply because of ratings. They've headed downhill. As much as I enjoy TMNT, I understand why CN has made all these changes. If ratings suck, then you've gotta make changes.

but replace it with pet alien, the WORST substitute to choose, doesn't seem like it

we can will probally will never beat nickelodeon's ratings, but we easily can beat disney, they only run 15 different shows, so they are somewhat a challenge, but mostly easy

Yeah, well, perhaps if they showed stuff other than waht most of their stuf is (Crapy kiddy shows), they can't expect to get viewers from other demographics.

Jeez, give it a break. You're not CN's target audience. Don't watch if you don't like the shows.

Cartoon Network does care. That's why they're trying to remove shows that don't work and place shows better for ratings on the block. Just because a bunch of fans at this board complain about a show disappearing (if you're in school, it's not like you're able to catch it anyhow) and going to another time (be glad that it is), doesn't mean that Cartoon Network is going to change its mind.

The reason TMNT deals with all these timeslot changes are simply because of ratings. They've headed downhill. As much as I enjoy TMNT, I understand why CN has made all these changes. If ratings suck, then you've gotta make changes.
Finally, a ray of hope in a sky of dismay. Someone who understands the situation, and doesn't just complain about it like others.

but replace it with pet alien, the WORST substitute to choose, doesn't seem like it

Perhaps not. Pet Alien can probably pull in more ratings than TMNT. And, who are you addressing as 'we'? You don't belong to Cartoon Network.

Yeah, well, perhaps if they showed stuff other than waht most of their stuf is (Crapy kiddy shows), they can't expect to get viewers from other demographics.
Who said they wanted it? Their main focus is 6-11. MAIN FOCUS

but that is the point, CRAPPY kidde shows aren't going to attract viewers

tmnt isn't that violent, if they have to, they would put baby looney tunes or krypto

How would you feel if I said TMNT sucked? Stop being childish, calling shows out like so. And, TMNT's violence has little or nothing to do with it being removed. It still is airing. If you don't have a VCR or can't wake up at the allotted time, then too bad. If you really like the show, you'll do one or the other.

And, it really IRKS me when people say that Cartoon Network sucks or that something's wrong with the channel, yet they continue to watch it. If you're still watching it and you're saying something's wrong with it, then something's wrong with you, also. That's the truth, as far as I can see it.
