What characters would make up a good background for this board?

People who have visited the VG board know that they are famous for their background featuring video game characters. If we were to make a background like that on the CN board, who would you put? I would make a collage of lead characters from some shows, and minors from others. Here's what mine would look like:

Ed

This would definitly make the CN Forum look better. I like the way the Video Game Forum looks.I'd have to go with Dexter, some Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Power Puff Girls, Cow and Chicken, Codename Kids Next Door, and a few other shows that I may be forgeting. What was mentioned sounds good.

Just the Cartoon Cartoons that are classics or good.

A poll could be a good idea, if there can only be a certain amount of charecters.

You mean as a top banner or as a total background image.

Image backgrounds look cluttered. As a banner, if you can see them in that bumper of the characters walking around town (cool bumper BTW) it would make sense to include them. Toonami and Boomerang characters would be best on their own fourms.

I would go with:

Mac and Bloo
Duck Dodgers, the Cadet, and Martian Commander
(possibly) #1
(possibly) Grim
(possibly) Ami and Yumi
(possibly) one of the Ed's.
Basically, if it's something that airs on Friday's and rotates in and out of premeires, then I'd consider them. Some of the older ones lke Jack and Dexter are deserving, but since their series have ended, then it may or may not benefit to put them in as well.

We never had a tiled background on this forum. None of my sites do, and when the original "Cartoon Fridays" website was made, this forum was made to match the website. When the forum became a Cartoon Network general forum, we didn't stray too far from the original layout.

I probably will update the banner after the fridays fansite is finished though. I'll put into considerations for different characters.

Yeah, I don't think the idea of a background for this forum is a good one. I like this forum the most, because it doesn't have one (but, that's not the only reason, of course).

A new banner sounds nice. Are you and Matt Wilson going to do a collaboration on this one? Or is it all you this time?

Actually, looking back, I made a pretty long list. Prehaps I could shorten it down to one character per show...

Yeah, still long. Have you been to other boards? If you had, you'd notice that they don't have more than... eh, eight characters.

Well put it this way, our banner will only fit about 6-7 characters in it. I'd love to put more, but we have to make it only 15KB in order for fast loading. Here is what I'm thinking of..

Yumi (Hi Hi Puffy)
Numbah Five (KND)
Clover (Totally Spies)
Duck Dodgers
Tom (Tom & Jerry)

No character from Ed, Eddn'Eddy?

I'd put Edd, or maybe Plank in over one of those characters. I think the Eds represent CN much better than Totally Spies does.

Edwardo - oh, PLEASE NO! if anyone from Fosters must be on it, make it Bloo

Tom - if you want an oldie, put Fred Flintstone or Bugs Bunny.

And not one mention of the original cartoon cartoons?

If the list MUST be shortened to seven, this is what I suggest-
