I hate waking up at 9:30am so I can catch Code Lyoko. But I did and I will. Taped Code Earth today. One of my favorites. I really wish they had not skipped from Frontier to Ghost Channel; my taped episodes are already out of order but I guess it doesnt really matter.

I was thinking that maybe they have not released the english version DVDs cause they are waiting for the Code Lyoko special( http://www.moonscoop.com/press.php ) so they can THEN put it on the first DVD so people know how the Code Lyoko story beings. None of the episodes really say how the gang met up with Aelita in the first place. You never know, wishful thinking I guess. I have no clue whether they even plan to make an english version DVD; like I said wishful thinking.

    Ahhhhh...3.0 at last!

After going the the Code: Lyoko minisite, on Moonscoop, I saw something intresting. It said that Code: Lyoko was "available worldwide (except Aisa- excluding Japan). That's cool. Does anybody know any other TV channels that will have it?
    Sincerely,
    The Gliven.

    v3.0, how nice
I wonder if they will relese CL DVDs before season 2 or after? I would think before, but not much before. They could be using CL DVDs to get people exited about season 2.

They dont need to use Code Lyoko DVDs to get me exited for season 2 As for releasing any DVDs before season 2 I would hope so. It will be a while before we see it here in the US. And with Code Lyoko being only on sundays at 9:30am not a lot of people will see it to bring in new fans.(Sure lil gremlins will but they are to stupid to understand it IMO) They will have to so they can keep interest.

Yep there are 2 DVDs already. They are in french though. Thats why I am hoping that the english version might have the prequal. It could be on a DVD by itself. The Vanhelsing animated prequal was only 30mins long or so. Of course they had a lot of extras to justify the cost. What little I've heard the CL DVD extras are really nice; I hope those make it into the english version. I just want Code Lyoko DVDs (Including the prequal special) in english.

iXneonXi, I dont have a way of getting my taped episodes from the tape to the computer. Sorry otherwise I would.

If you are really obsessed you could buy a european DVD player, a European eleictricity converter, and the DVD's. I'm not gonna do it, but if I win the lottery it will be the first thing I do.
    Sincerely,
    The Gliven.

Or you can buy the dvds, download free DVD Shrink, break the regional code with it, and copy it to your dvds region free, asl ong as you can understand french that is. People like to complecate things, I uncopmlicate them .

To tell the truth I actuelly thought about doing that. Briefly but still. I will just wait for the english version. Taped episodes will have to suffice till then.

I don't think you have to go through all that trouble and expense. I hear that some of the cheaper Apex DVD players (under $99) here in America are Region Free and will play anything. The thing I wonder about is the broadcast standards since Europe has different TV scan ratios than the USA. I've got a couple friends with the French DVDs, so I'll have to ask them if they work on our TVs or not.

No need, I am a pro in this, DVDs do not have NTSC/PAL/SECAM or S-VHS signals. All they have are regional codes( 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) and CSS and Macrovision Type 1,2 or 3 encriptions on them. DVD Shrink deactivates them and lets you record the dvd into another dvd or your pc region and encryption free. Its free software.

P.S. Also, you never know, maybe the dvds are already region free, they know people in other contries love the show. I bought a german dvd once from german online store, it was region free.

Not unless they have english dubbed vocies or atleast subtitles. Not all dvds have them, let alone foreign.

Where would you say you could get an electricity converter? Oh, and I would have to buy Code: Lyoko DVDs if they came out any time from now to late '05. Oh, and the special features could be interviews and the pilot.

I realy doubt that CL DVDs will have english dubbed voices bacause they are intended for french audience only, they dub the voices for each contry seperetly.
