My opinion of the brand new Courage season

    Like This Thread!
    I LIKE IT!

Finally, a Courage season that I like. Let's see.. there was....

    .......

....well, I guess I didn't like the first two seasons. Anyway..

    "CAR BROKE, PHONE YES"

    POSITIVES:

    - AWESOME music
    - New camera angles and rooms in the house to keep things from looking dull and ho-hum
    - Muriel and Eustace dialogue that isn't quite so corny

    NEGATIVES:

    - It gets a little corny by the end, in the writing department.
    - Courage's solution seems a little contrived.

    GRADE: B-

    -------------------------------------------

(didn't catch the second episode title. Stupid VCR. Uh.. the cowboy episode.. I guess..)

    POSITIVES:

    - The return of the burger-loving pig
    - The wooden horses gag
    - All new animation and environments. No recycled frames here..
    - The walrus? The wintergreen mint?!
    - Courage speaks like John Wayne!

    NEGATIVES:

    - The writing in this episode is not overly original. It screams spaghetti, but maybe they meant for it to be that way.
    - The overabundance of Dilworth's name on EVERYTHING..
    - The premise itself is very cliched. Dreaming about being a sheriff... man, I even saw a Johnny Bravo episode that did that.

    GRADE: B

The only Courage episode I've seen that I've actually liked was "Queen of the Black Puddle."
I came in at the tail end of this story, where Courage went scuba diving and had to save Eustace
from the titular beauty, who'd turned into some kind of monster and was about to eat them.

The title you're looking for is "Cowboy Courage."

    I love courage!

Courage The Cowardly Dog is one of my favorite cartoons on TV! My favorite is the one with the butcher whose wife "just loves dog"....hee hee!

I didnt like Courage at first, but after watching it...its grown on me.

Its fun. You dont take it seriously and its just so very odd I love the little bits of experimental animation they do, and it just sorta fits with the theme.

The characters are cute (exception Eustace whose just a boor ^___^) But its been pretty cool so far.

Its got a "quirky feel" about it that I think no other CC has at the moment.

I haven't seen the new ones yet, but Courage is the BEST ONE! I like that show. Some people find it boring, but I think it's the simplicity that makes it great. It also has a lot of quirky characters,, and the personalities are interesting....Eustace is almost always the cause of conflict, he's a mean, grouchy old man, and Muriel is very naive, she's very much like Porky Pig in those Chuck jones cartoons with Sylvester and haunted hotels. There are some that are better than others, but when they're good, they're great.

Yeah, the kinds of animation used in it are interesting. CGI gets used a few times ( The cart that delivered the possesed matress, the mummy who killed those who stole his tablet), along with actual people (the mouth and eyes of the wish granting tree) and claymation ( the girl playing the violin in the episode with the Evil Package)
