    Undead Gary Coleman

Poor Gary Coleman. Pulled from abscurity to live in a penthouse on Different Strokes, and then a guardian angel on his own cartoon, and now a flesh eating zombie that wants to make a snack out of Velma. What a guy

    Undead Gary Coleman... (Yikes)

Just the fact that Gary Coleman is starring in a Scooby-Doo show makes me think that the people behind this "thing" were pretty much clueless when it comes to special guests....

    It could be worse, though.

You mean that commercial I saw on CN WASN'T a joke? I was so sure it was just a joke commercial, I disregarded it. All this tells me is they are making WAY too many of these Scooby Doo movies and they just need to give the franchise a well deserved rest! They are scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

    Webster is the Antichrist!

At least, according to Jimmy Popp in "The Roof is on Fire". "I am just like Han Solo, always stroking my own Wookie. I'm the root of all that's evil...but you can call me Cookie."
I don't remember Coleman in a Scooby movie. I imagine that was put together for the comic bits between the shows...but they got the animation style pretty spot-on.
I'm still mad at how badly the Three Stooges were voiced when they "appeared" in a Doo flick.

Yeah, the original Scooby movies (with the guest stars) were made in the early 70s, soon after the original series. They were before Coleman's time.

This might be good. Last year's Blair Witch parody was good. But I don't think that I have the patience to watch just for interstitial material. I will probably be able to find the interstitials somewhere on the net later anyways.

at 11:30 tonight you can see the whole thing in it's entirety. from what I've seen so far it's funny.

I really liked the Blair Witch parody from a few years back, that and the Behind the Mysteries VH1 parody from the year before. I wish I could find those in their entirety somewhere.

Thanks for the tip Danni, I will try to catch that.
I've definitely seen the Blair Witch thing online before. If I find it, I'll post a link here. At least some of the Scooby Behind the Mysteries were available on a Scooby tape called Scooby-Doo's Greatest Mysteries, but I think that one or two weren't on that tape. That tape is still available at Amazon if you are interested, and it's probably still in most stores too.

Hey, if anyone ever finds that Blair Witch project parody, let me know too! I thought it was funny, and I didn't even see the real movie...

You know, I had heard that those were supposed to surface as extras on one of the DVD releases of the Scooby movies. I have yet to see that happen, so I don't know what ever happened with those plans, but they would make for awesome extras on a DVD!

Well, thanks to Danni, I caught the whole thing at 11:30 and it was pretty good. Not as great as Scooby Doo project, but I think that it would be pretty hard to top that. CN is able to poke fun at those Scooby cliches year after year and still it doesn't get old. I think that they should start airing these specials every Halloween along with the old eps.

I wonder if any of these could be extras on the Scooby movie DVD when that comes out? Yeah, these would make some excellent extras on any Scooby-related DVD.

I would actually buy a Scooby DVD if they put those on as extras on the disc. Other wise, I don't have much of a motivation to own all these Scooby movies coming out.

That sounds like Rodney Dangerfield. I thought Jabberjaw was based on Curly from the Three Stooges.

I caught the special on Wednesday...

    and I liked it.

There was so much to love:

    - the rendering of the guest stars (the way they drew David Cross was right on)

    - the scene in the bedroom (I just about died laughing when I heard the line "We didn't pack any jammies", followed by the painting's eyes bulging open)

    - "I can't believe you're reducing my entire life to a catchphrase." - Undead Gary Coleman

If the live-action movie ends up like this, I'll take back almost all the nasty things I said about it.
I feel that a big problem with today's society is that we don't listen to our fellow man -- especially when I'm talking.
"Never be afraid to borrow from those wiser than yourself." - Mr. Jimmy (voice of David Arquette) on "Pelswick"
"What do I care what some yahoo like Lonestarr posts on the internet?" - President Skroob (voice of Mel Brooks) on "Spaceballs: the Series"

He has the same voice as Curly but also has some of Rodney's personality thrown in. He does say that "No respect!" line sometimes. You can hear him say it in the Jabberjaw Groovie as well as in many episodes of Jabberjaw.
