Accually, CartoonFridays, they showed the episode that was supposed to air last week on this week. But at least they have commercials for next week's ep already.

Hmm, Jack chained to a disgruntled Scottish guy...I'm sure it will prove to be interesting!

By the way, Matt, nice job on the unofficial adult swim website layout!

The previous red didn't bother me much before (might not be as good as Carolina Panthers colors, of course), because it only took a little bit of time to read the news. But you definitely have made an improvement! Now, the layout is as good as the content!

I plan to visit your penny-arcadesque cartoon, regularly!

I really liked my original design for it, actually. But the original design will probably be what WBC will look like.

    What was my original design?

    You'll see.

You just put up a High Score avatar! (of course, you already knew that)

Edit: I read the script and I cracked up at the simpson flashback scene!

I thought it was a comic strip, instead of an animation. I can't voice act, but I will watch High Score! Keep us posted!

I did it because I'm so pissed off at cartoons that try to be funny by instilling flashbacks like the Simpsons does.

Like, say, Family Guy, whose flashbacks are obviously inspired from the Simpsons. Although the Family Guy flashbacks can often be funny, like making fun of Jay Ward and what not.

The Critic also did it, as did Duckman and The Oblongs and Undergrads, and Futurama. Ugh..

Just saw that episode, and loved it. Samurai Jack laughed! He actually laughed in this one! I don't know why I thought that was so great, but...anyway... anyone else like it?
"Pinky, my parents...they're driving me insane!"
"Egad Brain, really? Ooh, well that kinda leaves me without much to do..."

I hardly got off my couch the whole time it was on. I thought I wasn't going to like it, but I was wrong. It's just about up there with "Episode V" as one of my faves. I only wish they'd had the closed captions on tonight, so I could read what that Scotsman was saying.

BTW, they made a big deal out of Garbo laughing in
"Ninotchka" and she hardly ever laughed in any of her movies, I hear. And Samurai Jack is always such a serious guy!

The sad thing is that this isn't a cartoon thing anymore. Shows like Titus use it, and Grounded for Life actually uses it as the entire story-telling method. It is getting rather old, but I do usually enjoy it in Family Guy.

I like the way Family Guy uses their flashbacks, as they're often unexpected and have a twist. Like when Peter flashed back to the time he "hit a deer," and it turns out a deer was driving his car and he hit the deer's car. Afterwards the two talked about insurance info.

Sometimes they're more like sub-flashbacks, or imaginary flashbacks/fowards. Like when Peter mentions that the British will someday steal action films, then we see a preview of Arnold Schwartzenegger and Sylvester Stallone in "I Remember Cecil."
