Just curious to know if anybody here reads the Cartoon Cartoon comics put out by DC?

DEXTER'S LAB! Use to be my main source of Dexter related comedy. But sadly, my comic shop no longer carries it, and it's a pity. I need to bone up on his adventures again if I can find an issue somewhere...

....they did replace it with PPG comics, though, so it's not that big a loss. I just hadn't bought any issues for a bit due to sadness over loss of Dexter and because they hadn't looked interesting to me, but as of late I bought a coupla issues and they've been pretty good!

I will have to check on this, but I think the Dexter comic is/has been cancelled.

As far as I know, it wasn't cancelled. Not if Genndy Tarrtakovsky just recently did an issue himself(#25). I'd say support for it is still pretty high, especially with the new season airing in 3 weeks.

The Cartoon Cartoon comics are really rare at my local store. After sifting through tons of Mickey Mouse comics and Sailor Moon, I found one Space Ghost comic. Just one, and it was 6 months old. Geez.

I see that there is a solicitation for Dexter's Laboratory #27. Here is the cover art.



SO I wonder which one it is DC axed. I didn't see a solicitation for their Cartoon Cartoon anthology.

Dexter's Lab and Cartoons Cartoons are now bi-monthly. They're released on alternating months.

Dexters lab, from what I'm hearing is selling quite well and just like Looney Tunes outlasted all the other WB related comics, so is Dexter oulasting all the other Cartoon Cartoon comics.

And I doubt they would have did the Dexters Lab 25 for 25 cents if it wasnt selling well. I think thier using Dexters Lab to bouy the other Cartoons Cartoons book which - IMO isnt as funny or as wry as the Dexter book.


Dexters comic is just FUN period. the reg cartoon cartoon book is just corny and theres too much clutter and no cohesion in it. But thats just my opinion.
