Hello everyone. This is Jordan. I heard that new shows and episode are going to air on cartoon network. But something is still bothering me. Is Samurai Jack is showing the new episodes this or not?

The last three episodes are a multi-part thing, right? Wouldn't be surprised if it was a Toonami or Fridays movie.

Whoa, a multi-parter? Would it be too much to ask for closure? They do that, I'm picking up Samurai Jack season one on DVD!!!Originally Posted by Knux Five

Samurai Jack's last episode, (52) is not a three parter--it's just one big disappointing, loose-end leaving ending that makes you want to stand up and shout "Boooo!!!" to your t.v. when it's all over...At least that's what I did.
And you've seen this... how?

Not sure if the final three will be a three parter finale, but that would be nice. But the series will be tied up, it's been on hiatus because of Clone Wars. But the ending is going to be this year.

There is no way you could know that we wouldn't believe you unless you tell us how you saw it. So how about letting us in on this little secret?Originally Posted by Cancelled
The last new Samurai Jack episode aired in November 2003, and that was episode #48. That leaves the series with 4 remaining unaired episodes. TVtome.com reports that episode #49 aired there in December 2003, but I'm unsure as to if its true. Either way, the last 4 episode have yet to be seen or announced in the USA or Canada. You can bet that when they do make an appearence it will be during a sweeps month though....which is Feburary, May, or November.

If you're right I'm holding off buying the DVD. Did I mention I hate loose endings?Originally Posted by Cancelled

Cancelled has good authority to say that he's seen the final episode, okay? I think that's all we need to say about that. And I do believe him when he says that it's anticlimatic.
Because the show was never supposed to stop at 52. But it did.
[speculation]
Why do you think Genndy is hopping off CN and running to Lucasarts? I'm telling you, they're Sheep in the Big City-ing his show.
[/speculation]
Perhaps I should clarify what I mean. What I mean is that SJ has had ratings that made CN regret that they paid for a 52 episode committment. It was the same with Sheep in the Big City. They would've been glad to cancel the show after the first season, if it wasn't for the fact that they had signed it up for 26 episodes. I didn't talk much to Mo about it, he didn't seem that upset, I guess. If you look at his website though, he really does wish the show was back on the air. If you think about it though..
Sheep starts off with a strong episode committment; critical praise; on-the-fence viewer reviews. Samurai Jack? THE SAME.
Sheep gets relegated to a 'cult' timeslot (Sunday @ 9:30). Samurai Jack? Sunday at 10 PM.
How much longer before Jack is only on Sundays at 3 PM? And then off the air completely? And then CN pretends Samurai Jack never existed? Sheep isn't even in the CN Fridays intro as far as I could tell and that intro had freaking Jabberjaw!
And Sheep and SJ were the last shows to get that kind of committment from the network. Since then it's been one season at a time with them, just like a broadcast network.
I'd believe ya if I was told (CN and Toonami boards seem to attract people with low post counts and some new knowledge). Wilson's got yer back.
