    Spam Mail Concerns

    Like This Thread!
Hey Guys, if you are one of many victoms of Spam mail, there now has been a report that Viruses that takeing over your computer are getting much worst by the month, and here is a sample of the report,

    Back door to spam

Around half a million copies of the AVF virus were sent out to computer users in a two-day period last week and MessageLabs is convinced a spammer is to blame.

Unlike other mass-mailing viruses AVF does not mail itself out to everyone in the infected computer's address book. Instead its open up a backdoor in the machine through which spammers can send out junk mail.

As well as using the infected PCs for sending out e-mails about porn sites, miracle cures for baldness and get-rich-quick schemes, the system ensures almost total anonymity for the spammer because it is virtually impossible to trace the route back.

You can find more at this Link, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/2987558.stm

And best note that you update your virus listings too, so this would be prevented.

Uuuh, just don't open unknown mail?

Seriously, the best waty to combat spam is to delete it. It doesn't take that much thought to realize that emails titled "Naughty teens" and "Increase your bust size" go directly to the trash.

What if you get a HUGE flood of spam? That would take you about an hour to delete them all! Oh, and all this talk of spam reminds me about something... http://www.internet-tips.net/Sounds/spam-song.wav

98% of the teenage population does or has tried smoking pot. If you're one of the 2% who hasn't, copy & paste this in your signature.

Well look at it is some ways, you delete you will get the same thing 1 to 2 days later, untill you read it, and some people think that is too stressful to keep deleting the same spam mail message and all that stuff.

    Just adding a point there.

And getting virii isn't stressfull? In fact, most spam mail will stop if you don't read it or reply to it.

You can use a spam filter, if your email doesn't already have one.

I'm with ProdigyCube on this one. This is the most effective method to use.
It recently dawned on me that my signature could be interpreted as being said by me. For the record, this was not the case. If the previous signature reduced your opinion of me, please increase your opinion. Thank you.
