How many hands do you use when you type on a keyboard?

I type with both. Also, unlike most people, I can type without looking at the keys.

it depends. i usually used the two finger hunt & peck method, but i find that impossible when i master...ed the keys in computer class last year. i now use two hands.

You forgot the "I type with my mind" option

I type with both hands and can do it without looking at the keyboard. When I'm in a hurry I can type a lot real quick it amazes me each time I do it

It's best to type with two hands, without looking at the computer. That way, you can both read and type at the same time. But the problem is that you're more prone to making errors.

That said, I type with two hands.

I type with two hands, and I do it without looking at the keyboard as well! I take a keyboarding class in school, so we are taught to type a certain way. I really dislike that class too.

I've used my nose..more than once.

Usually I use one or two hands, depends on what I'm doing. If I'm using the mouse or holding something like a book, I used one hand.

One hand if the other is occupied with the phone or trying to shut the cat up, hehe. Two on a normal basis though. And yes, without looking at the keyboard. I had to take a one quarter/semester class once in sevent or eighth grade, it was just called a computer class. But we had to work on learning how to type proficiently. For instance, we'd go through timed exercises to see how many words we could type per minute from reading a document that was on the screen. Another time we had to type while there was a sheet of paper over the keyboard so we couldn't see what the keys read, ie trying to get us to no look down at the keys anymore and just know what everything was by memory. So I've always been pretty good with the keyboard before, and even more since then.

I use two hands.....home keys and all.....just like they taught us in typing class.

Okay......now.....what I would like to know is......who said they can type with their feet? LOL!

The typing class lessons didn't stick to me like they did to others, unfortunately. I type with two hands but usually not more than 4 fingers, and I have to look at the keyboard. It's faster than you might think though and it's pretty hard to make a mistake while looking at the keyboard.
