a dislocation???

I was reaching to scratch my back with the arm-over-the-head way when I'm guessing my arm popped out of it's socket because I couldn't move it and it didn't seem to want to move, and my idiot reflexes told me to jerk it forward so the pain would stop, knowing I shouldn't but I did anyway, I heard another pop, and my arm was in some weird position, then after all this umm.... confusion, somehow my arm finally went back to normal position and it hurt SOOOOOOOOOO bad, like a sprain and a break all in one. I can't remember it very clearly (probably a good thing) because my mind was in hyper mode and those few seconds seemed like mili seconds. Anyways, it hurt for a few days then eventually got better. I don't know if it was a dislocation, because my dad said it would have hurt much worse. Well I thought it hurt PRETTY bad.

Your dad is right, it would've hurt much worse. You'll know if you have a dislocation, you'll be in excruciating pain. >.<
