Everybody has cool Avatars, I don't think I'd reconize optimal321 without his avatar (heh, I've seen it too much).

I've changed mine about three times, I think.

I think this is my 5th avatar....think the first couple were really bad ones though.

Generally know who posted by their avatar, but with all the changes I think I've lost memory of who has wot avatar @_@

At least some people don't change too often, easier to keep up with ^^

I try to change my avatar every week. I was dojng classic rock avatars before, but right now I'm using pics from my favorite movies. Last was "The Third Man", and you can see what I picked for this week.

The Avatars that stand out in my mind right now are SJJ's BOTP piccy, Bird_boy's shredded Robin, Maxie Zeus's blue queen (nice touch, Maxie..!), Ice cold's Wolverine silouhette, Inque's fabulous 'Inque eye' and, my favourite by far, as I'm sure you know, Nightflower's lovely picture - all her own work as well, which makes it even more impressive!

Hear hear to Nightwing, all the DC avatars are really cool! I like Bird_boy's especially...I don't know why.

Blight Man's is cool. That's the kind of smiley I'd probably use often ^_^

I like Kylewayne's because I like Catwoman, but I haven't seen many pictures of her on the net

Optimal has the best Optimus Primal version, IMO

I also like Dr. Belch's South Park lego-y icons.

I decided I better run that Laura Palmer one by Brian first before I put it up! I don't wanna scare off the kiddies too soon! Til then, here is a waaaayyyyyy cool portrait of David Lynch I found while searching for an alternate Laura Palmer avatar. I wish I could tell you I drew it myself (you know I would have if I thought of it) but maybe one day I will come up with my own portrait of David to post up here.

When you have good ideas for avatars (or find cool pics) it's kinda hard sitting on them. I have an idea for a bull I'm contemplating--if I can find it on-line. . . .

I don't know if the people this question is addressed to are reading this thread, but I will give it a chance....

There are a handfull of people without avatars and I was wondering why they still don't have avatars? Everybody's doing it!

Actually, several reasons:

1. No pic intrests me yet.
2. Dunno how to resize pics.
3. Heh....I tried one pic, but it would not load because it was in jpg. format. How can I keep it in that format?

If ya have a pic, you can easily ask people around here to resize it(like Bird Boy...he's the official avatar maker for everyone).

It wouldn't load 'cause it was in jpg format? That's odd 'cause it should. Maybe it wasn't 75 X 75 pixels or under the 10kb limit, that could be part of the problem.

Aw crap....I shoulda said this:

"It wouldn't load because it was NOT in jpg format." The rules say it SHOULD be in jpg format....(smacks head)

I tried a test pic; I copied a pic off a site; put it into Appleworks (I use Macs) and resized it there untill it looked like it was in the right size for an avatar. When I 'uploaded' it from the CPU, my avatar was empty...and after a bit of trouble, abandoned the try. Note, I do not think it was in jpg format anymore when I took it from the CPU...
Also, when I said I didn't know how to resize pics, I meant an apparently succesful way to do it.

....Thanks for the help; I'll tell you guys when I find an interesting pic. I am very, very clueless when it comes to technology....

Don't feel to bad, it took me two weeks just to learn how to get my VCR to record. I'm just as bad with technology as anybody.

As for Cals new avatar, it's kinda starting to freak me out. So many people have good avatars, I have yet to find my perfect avatar.

THANKS! And I don't know if I can ever find the perfect avatar. I have some I like more than others, so I may leave them up longer until I decide to get a new one, but its inevitable that I will wind up changing it. I am trying to go with themes now, obviously. I don't know what theme I will have after I exhaust all my Twin Peaks/David Lynch avatars, but there's so much to choose from there, I doubt I will have to worry about it soon.
