If you could be ANY fictional character, who would you be..?

Hello again!

Well, after a brief sabbatical, I am back - with my 100th post! This is a personal milestone for somebody who posts as infrequently as I, so I wanted to mark the occassion with something a little more lasting than a pointless comment on the 'Neverending Post', so here goes!

Question: If you could be ANY fictional character, who would you be.. and why?

And, just to get the ball rolling, here's my answer:

Constable Benton Fraser (Due South). Why? OK, members of the jury, consider the evidence. He's a decent man (all to rare these days...). He's a hit with the ladies (and not a bad calibre of lady either - Eileen, Francesca, Victoria, Thatcher...). He has an amusing wolf for a pet/friend. His dad is a real laugh riot (even if he is dead...) He comes form that idealised vision of Canada we all wish REALLY existed. He's indestructable (seemingly). He's very VERY smart. He's fit. He can live his life frugally without all the clutter and emotional props people seem to surround themselves with... AND he's good lookig (I wish I looked that good in red!) Blimey, this guy has it all... what more could a man want..?

In my life I have tried to conduct myself with decency and a degree of honour. I have not always been succesful - and Fraser epitomises the kind of man a)I would wish to be, and b) I wish there were more of. I watch the news every night, and I see the world going to Hell in a hand-basket - if only there were more people around with some moral decency and fibre...

Welcome back Frozen!!! And congrats on your 100th post!!!

Your question comes as sort of a tuff one. I know for a fact who i would not want to be. My favorite hero: Batman. I mean, i love him for the deep psychological stories he helps tell, but i would never want to go through them myself. Face it, his life sucks.

But who i would want to be? I'll have to get back to you.

I would like to be someone with cunning and wit, most likely the private eye from any detective story....I would like and NEED that intelligence, so I'd say....Sherlock Holmes.

If I could be any fictional character I'd want to be Momotaro. Momotaro is a hero from an antient Japanese fairy tale. His name means "peach boy." He was given this name because he was discovered by his parent floating down stream in a giant peach (he was the pit.)
Momotaro learns that a neighboring village is often attacked and terrorized by Oni giant ogres who lack the better qualities of Shrek. Momo trains diligently as a samurai and sets off to fight the ogres. He meets up with animals of the forrest on his quest, who have heard of his plans and join him. The team defeats the ogres and returns the plundered belongings back to the people of the vilage.
I admire Momotaro for finding a goal and working toward it. I also like the time in which he would have lived. Life was simpler. The beauty of nature was all around. You could live hapily with relative ease, in a tight knit community. I know there where a lot of proublems back then too.
Momotaro is very in touch with nature and lives in harmony with the world. That's the main reason I'd want to be him.

Dr Who cuz he gets like 13 lives and I am sure he will be able to secure more after he loses his 12th life and he gets to travel anywhere in time and always has a hot babe at his side. And I'd get my cool robotic dog back, too.

Dr. Laurel Weaver (MIB) cause she's cool about dead bodies (im kinda squeamish sometimes) and she's got an attitude that's just sooo cool! She's also got really cool hairstyles, lol.

She's smart and manages to help save the world from the scum of the universe and becomes a MIB agent! (thus Agent L {Elle}).

She wont really do anything in MIB2. theyve gone and made that sequel suck.

Maybe Batman, but definitely The Shadow. What a kick ***** hero! The ability to cloud minds, becoming invisible to others, the cool costume ( the hat, the jacket, the cape, the pistols, etc...), by far the coolest fictional character to be...

I'll agree with the Shadow. I've always been a big fan of that character, and wish we could see more of him. Any superhero would be included(Batman, Superman, Green Lantern). I'd also like to be Conan, since I love the whole sword and sorcerey thing.

Okay... the good beetlejuice (hes not totally evil) as in the cartoon or the movie beetlejuice...

Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream would be a fun choice... flying around, playing whimsical tricks on silly humans to make them look foolish... I'd like that.

Actually, I think a better fit would be Ford Prefect from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I'd be able to travel the universe and write about interesting places while handing over all expenses to the Guide.

Hm....maybe I could also be one of the superheros of our fav World's Finest shows. They always get through in the end, AND they make a mockery of the villain while they're at it!

BorgeoisBuffoon - can you tell me how, having only been on the boards since August 2001, you have nearly 150 posts? That's is both awesome and outrageous in equal measure! I've been here since May 2001, and I've only just cleared 100!!! How do you do it??? Granted, I post infrequently (whilst I'm at work - having a job where I can mess about on the PC is sweet!), but you really do put me to shame!
