Well after a short absence the spider has come back to the TZ forums! I just got back from Toronto yesterday and have to say that I had a great time. While I was there I got to see the WB Building, the CN Tower and China Town - have to say that I love the entire city (that is whenever I'm not getting lost for two to three hours at a time)! It seems that I spent a lot of the time shopping though because my gf and I wanted to get the best of the cheap exchange rate (roughly paying $.67 on the dollar). We headed to the Dixie Mall and shopped around at some other stores - even checking out the incredible selection at Videoflicks (where I spent waaaay to much money).
Since I'm back anyone care to fill me in on what I missed?

Welcome back.... good heavens... someone had a great vacation! Congrats...
Thanks guys! And not to worry Watagashi I kicked those evil space koalas all the way back to the leafy green planet they call home. Oh they tried to take me but my superior knowledge of unnecessary information corrupted their brains and sent them screaming for momma.
And Depth Charge - it was a great vacation - I had A LOT of fun up north.

What didja do in Canada? Did you go to my old stimping grounds - aka Toronto? I'm glad you had a great time up there!
And our exchange rate...pretty sad (well, for us!), hunh? How much money did you get from it? The exchange rate where I live now, New Brunswick, is 50% at most stores.

I was getting roughly 1.47 exchange - basically I took $80 and got back about $117 or so. I have found though that for most of the stuff it's far easier to use your debit/credit card because they'll automatically convert it for you - which is great because you then don't have to deal with losing any money to fees to convert it to Canadian currency. I do love the conversion though - the entire time I was pricing stuff and being like "Hmm...$10 here means it's only $6.67 back home so I'll pick it up" - it probably wasn't the best thing for me as I then decided to buy way to much stuff.
Spider-Man, where at Toronto were you?

Welcome back Spider! I'm new so you probably don't know me.
Welcome to the boards then! It looks like your getting into the swing of things here and I'm sure you'll find these boards to be overly addicting.Originally posted by Batman347
