    Any Toy Collectors here?

    Like This Thread!
I know we have comic people, but I was wondering if there are any fellow toy collectors.

Now, I guess I'm not a serious collector because I take the figs out of their packages, but they deserve to be displayed. Especially the beautiful Spider-Man Classic line.

Currently I'm working on the full X-Men line (discluding the X-Men Classics cuz they're just repaints), and let me tell you, it's tough. They released alotta X-Men figs in the past 10 years.

I also pick up the Spider-Man Classic, the Batman 4-packs, and anything else that I think is cool.

    Amyone else out there?

I know I'll be picking up the new He-Man toy line from Mattel this Christmas! I like the Movie Maniacs line from McFarlane, and that's pretty much it for me when it comes to toy collecting. As soon as my local Toys R Us gets some, I know I'l pick up a few of the the Transformers from the Robots in Disguise line. But I can't wait for He-Man!!!

Yep, toys are our addiction (my wife and I, that is). We are majorly into GI Joe and its European cousin Action Force, Dragon dolls, Indiana Jones, Black Hole, Zoids, AD&D, Lego, Playmobil... Our house is like a toy-shop, seriously. And the best thing about being a home-owning adult? You get to fill an entire HOUSE!!!

I'm mainly an open toy collector too. I pretty much pick up every new SW 3 3/4 inch figure I run into... Some DC characters, growing monster anime figure collection (not enough human characters! grrrrrrrrrrrrr), some DBZ peeps- mainly girls, assorted fave characters from a buncha different movies, etc...

Yep I've got a big collection too - both carded and loose. Batman, Transformers, Star Wars, McFarlane toys, Gundam, Gargoyles, He-Man, and a bunch of others.

I've still got some stuff from when I was a kid, including my very heavily played with SW stuff and the old-fashioned Fisher-Price little people you can choke on. I have a Sesame Street in that last one.

    Toyboy

Admittedly I haven't collected toys heavily since the old-school He-Man figurines (which, mint, would be worth some money, but my brothers have gotten hold of them, slapped paint and tape on them, and rechristened them as wrestlers). I've graduated to books and strange, bizarre, sick novelties (my pride and joy is a dried cat head left over from dissection in 11th-grade zo class).

    Batman toys

I'm hooked on anything in the animated style. I have nearly every figure from the BTAS line. I don't include crappy repaints. I still need Bruce Wayne and Retro Batman and I think that's it. I have all the STAS toys including the European exclusive Darkseid. I have all the TNBA toys. I also have all the BB toys which doesn't say much. I've got Future Knight which I repainted black, Power Cape, Blight, Happy, J-Man and that's it unfortunately.

I also have 3 batcaves, the TNBA Batmobile, the BTAS batmobile, and the BTAS batplane. I've also got the Gotham City Bank playset which I expanded to a building. Customs wise I have Green Lantern, Aquaman, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor in a suit, Batman Unmasked, and several other easy customs.

    Anywho. That's about it.

let's see, i got two huge boxes of Star Wars figures, along with the Falcon, Nubian Cruiser(ship from EP1), five scout bikes, TIE Fighter, Deluxe X-Wing, AT-ST, and Dash Rendar's ship, also the playsets from EP1. I've got four boxes full of Batman figures, including B:TAS, TNBA, LOTDK, BB, and some of the movie stuff, along with a couple of the Batmobiles. I've got all the figures from Jurassic Park 1, also the T-Rex & Jeep. All the Aliens toys, two boxes full of X-Men and Spiderman stuff. All of it is loose. The only carded figures I have are a JLA Wonder Woman fig, a Cadillacs and Dino's Hanna Dundee and Jack's "Pet" Dinosaur, and all the humans from the Aliens series...

I'm pretty much an all out collector. But I DO have a life. Anyway..
I've been collecting a ton of 12" figures as of late(Action Man, FF 12", GI is always classic, some SW). I'm not big on SW. If I find a valuable one, I'll get it, but I'm not big on that. I have most of the first series spawn toys. I remember when the comic came out. My brother knew it would be big, so he entrusted me with getting ahold of the first toy line!
But I'm a mostly "out of package" collector. 12" figures have to much articulation & neat accessories to keep in package & not play with. I'm a huge transformer fan. anyone who keeps transformers in package is a complete, 100% idiot. Those were made for 1 soul perpose. I like toys based on classic stuff, to. Speed Racer was just, a blow to my mind. He-Man made me wet my pants! haha..but I'm gona buy that entire line out. I also like to collect various Anime based toys. for instance: I have all of the McFarlane Japanese Animation 3D figures. & I'm a big fan of Kaiyodo's work(Trigun figures. Go Wolfwood!) BTW, if anyone knows where I can get the new Spike Spiegel figure..I'd be happy.

Also, I like snap-together robot figure kits. that's ingenius.

My tremendous intuitive sense of the female creature informs me that you are troubled...

I still have all my old Star Wars toys from when I was a kid, and many of the original boxes, too. But I don't collect now. I do get the occasional toy that interests me, like the Harley Quinn action figure and the Jay and Silent Bob figures (which I did take out of the boxes, and regretted. The friggin things don't stand up worth crap and are impossible to display properly. By Bob figure fell all the way to the floor and one of the extra pieces that came with him went flying off and I haven't found it since. Yeah, and I paid full price for the things.

I also have a few Powerpuff Girls toys, but only some of the first ones that came out when they started marketing them. I then realized the PPG merchandising machine was far too fast for me to keep up with and quit. I did not become like the Collector from the cartoon!

I got some various toys too that I found left behind at Blockbuster, where I work part time. Kids lose them, they are mine. I have a Rugrats toy, a Toy Story 2 toy, and a Spy Kids toy now. Those are the only toys I still collect, ones left behind at the store I work at.

I thought for a brief time to get into collecting toys again big time, but I felt I have enough to take my money with comics, DVDs, and CDs.

Yea, but there isn't really any one kind that I collect. I love Batman, but I don't really have that many Batman figures. (just a few Yamato ones, and of course some of the four horsemen stuff) I have a mixture of toys...basically whatever I think looks cool. (star wars, various movie figs, Spiderman, Alien and Predator, monsters, Dragons, Spawn.)

Strangely, most of the figures I have displayed around my room I've bought within the last few years.

    Monsters.

Though honestly my favorites are the nameless, generic stuff, like rubber bugs and alien finger puppets.

I finally got a digital camera weeks ago and took some pictures of all the toys I have on display. There's still plenty more but they're put away in storage. I also collect dust if it's not apparent enough in these pictures.
