So Apple announced today that it's replacing the latest generation of iPad with a new model called "iPad Air", evoking its lightweight Macbook Air laptop computer. Allegedly thinner while still structurally sound, weighing in as the lightest tablet yet engineered at a pound, and yet also packing several times the processing power compared to the current model while costing no more than what it did when it came out over a year ago. Technology marches on. Pretty cool! They say it's out in November, right on time for the holiday season naturally.
Not sure I feel motivated to upgrade anytime soon though. After all, just imagine how much better the NEXT one will be compared to generation 3...
I would suggest that it's not the medium, but the quality of perception and expression, that determines the significance of art. But what would a cartoonist know? -Bill Watterson
