I saw Avengers. It. Was. Awesome.

    I'd honestly give it a 10/10.

    SHERLOCK: "A Study in Pink"
Very good update of the Sherlock Holmes mythos.
Cumberpatch(SP?) and Freeman are excellent as Holmes and Watson.

I'm going to watch The Outsiders soon.

I really want to watch The Avengers, but I bet my mom won't let me. :/

Fortunately I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

Hey, don't use that "I" word. Just go when she's at work or something. The movie itself is pretty tame and I can't recall any religious or otherwise offensive references that would get you in trouble.

I'm watching Up, and I never really noticed how violent the bad guy is before. I knew he was crazy but there's a lot of nasty tricks. Shooting tranquilizer darts at the kid may seem less violent than bullets, but what do you think is going to happen when he loses his hold on the hose?

Just finished the last season finale of the shows I watch, Blue Bloods. Great episode. So nice to see that some shows can still wrap up their seasons without a forced cliffhanger and instead close on a nice and rather touching note.

Now no new episodes of my shows until September.

    1) Awwww, that was a Kappa Mikey reference. (The "I" word.)
    2) I know the movie has no offensive stuff or anything like that, but my mom isn't a big fan of movies like that. Nor is she a fan of movie theaters in general.

But like I said, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. A few *remembers the "I" word* Never mind!

Anyway, lately I have been rewatching (and watching ) episodes of El Tigre lately. (Nostalgia, related. )

You can always wait for the movie to get released on DVD/Blu-ray, like me.

Anyway, I've been watching Power Rangers Turbo through Netflix. I've seen the first 15 episodes, so far, and while some people don't like this season, I've been enjoying it. I'll probably watch In Space, when I'm done with Turbo.

Just finished watching the second season finale of Sherlock. It was an incredible ending that totally topped Arthur Conan Doyle's own ending for "The Final Problem." It's going to be an aggravating wait for Season 3 to find out just how it was pulled off.

And they don't even start filming until early 2013! It's gonna be a looong wait =/

Discovered today that Power Rangers is on Netflix. Considering how much I loved MMPR as a kid, my productivity will be shot for a good while, haha.

I just saw Battleship. It wasn't as bad as everyone was saying, but it wasn't that good either. I'd give it a 6/10. I just wish that the aliens weren't so boring.

Finished watching The Outsiders. Its actually pretty accurate to the book. If only the actors were better. Oh well.

I've also watched half of American Violet . Good movie.

I just saw The Princess and the Frog for the first time. I thought it was pretty good, but it also felt kind of short. Their journey as frog felt pretty short and the development of the relationship between Tiana and Naveen felt rushed, even for a Disney movie. I was also kind of disappointed with how little screentime Dr. Facilier had, as well as how he was quickly defeated in the end, considering that how much he was shown in the promo. Still, I liked some aspects of the movie. I liked how Tiana had such a hardworking personality, Naveen was pretty fun, some of the songs were nice, although I mostly enjoyed "I'm Almost There" and the ending song, some of the romantic moments between Tiana and Naveen were sweet, despite the rushed development, and the artwork was quite nice. Overall, the movie was pretty decent. I was hoping it would be a bit better than it turned out, but it's still a fairly enjoyable movie that did hold my attention during its whole run.

I'm currently watching 24 season 1. I always thought this show was awesome, but at the same time I'm remembering why I can't stand certain aspects of the show as well. Characters like Terry and Kim Bauer can practically ruin the show. Kim really irritates the hell out of me, but for the most part the show is still as great as ever.

I'm watching Chronological Donald Volume 1 from the Walt Disney Treasures line. It's great that they released almost all the pre-1962 Disney Shorts on dvd, if only the sets were a lot cheaper and more available.....

I watched Downfall, a German film about the last ten days of Hitler's reign. It was very good, well-done and well-acted. I recommend.

(If anyone doesn't know, it's the film that features the world-famous clips of Hitler ranting in German that are all around Youtube.)

A bit of a late reply, but I saw a bit of The Outsiders a couple of years ago. It looked pretty good and quite faithful to the source material. I really loved the book, so I might check out the movie one of these days myself.

Anyway, I finished rewatching one of my favorite anime series Pretear. I haven't watched it for a couple of years and I figured that I'd start off my summer break with revisiting that series. It's still really enjoyable, even though the comedy gags are a bit more annoying than I remember. The storyline is engaging, the characters are likable, despite most of them aside from three in the main cast and a couple of supporting characters being rather underdeveloped, and it does have an emotional and satisfying ending. It was pretty fun to watch the series again.
