You all came up with this to have a holiday the same week America has Independence Day, didn't you? I can see it now. It's like that Simpsons episode where they came up with Love Day. A bunch of CEOs were sitting around in Canada, trying to figure out how to compete with Independence Day and they all said, "I know! Love Day!" Then they said, "Oh, that was taken by the Simpsons." "Ok, then, how about Canada Day!"

Just kidding. Seriously, what is Canada Day? I guess if it celebrates a specific event, it's cool, but if it's just there to be there to celebrate something in general, I'd have to put it in the same category as Love Day.

Ahhhh Molson. How would we define Canadian without them? (I think it's funny that last year Joe Canadian said he was not a lumberjack, and this year's commercial has lumberjacks in plaid and stuff).

Yeah it was on this day today in 1867, that John A. Macdonald signed our Confederation (which is kinda funny since it's not really a confederation but a federation). Anyway, HAPPY CANADAY EVERYONE! yay!

I still find it funny how almost all the Americans know nothing about this country. They're missing out on alot. Enjoy yer Canada Day, friends!

Thanks for the info. I feel so uneducated in the history of the rest of the world, it's sad. Maybe I didn't take the right electives in school!

I can't wait to head stateside in a few years for a nice extended vacation. I plan to visit at least three big US cities, New York, Boston, and Seattle, on this trip. This'l be my first trip tot he US in a loooong time.

I hate how movies protray canada as being cold constantly. In reality, Canada is just the USA, it has it's colds and hots. Canada just get's em' first..

Yeah, what's the deal with the territories? I know Nunavut got carved out of somewhere, and I thought I heard reports about something being carved out of Quebec (or maybe it was a lawsuit about Native American lands there). Unconfuse me, someone.
