Old spoiled milk that's been sitting inside somebody's locker for the past week. It's deadly.
I thought this might be an interesting topic. Just to save people's stomaches, try not to get too graphic in details.
The worst I've ever smelled might be the body of a dead kayaker that had been in the water for about two weeks. It was cold water so it had retarded decomposition somewhat, but it was still the unmistakable and cloying stench of rotting human flesh. I might be applying some of the generalized trauma of the experience to my perception of the smell, but that's my entry.
Runner up might be the smell of rotting crawdads at the spillway where we used to go fishing. People used to just throw them out there and leave them to rot in the sun. It was disgusting.

The smell of eggs is still high on my list of worst thing I've ever smelled, no offense to those who like them. Speaking of school locker rooms, they smell terrible in general.
It was April Fools Day, and I was in Grade 5. Some genius decided to bring this to school:
Our class was in a portable. We were coming back from gym, and opened the door to the class. I was in the back, far away from the door, and heard screaming. People were shouting that someone put that spray in the class. I went to the door.... and my nose shot up. I almost threw up. I ate lunch with my shirt over nose, to disguise the smell.
Ugh. One of my stupid college roommates once spilled milk and wiped it up with a towel. Instead of washing it like a normal person he just threw it in the closet.
About a week later we started to notice that our room was smelling, much, much riper than usual. It started to get unbearable and we tore the room upside down until we finally found the result of his idiocy and he threw the towel away. He didn't even remember doing it until we found it.
And stay out of Riverdale!

Yes, there are amazing things up there in the universe, but theyve got some very stiff competition down here on Earth!

One time I found an old carton of milk in the back of the fridge. I opened it up and.

A gas station bathroom. It looked cleaned, but nothing can get rid of that smell? What the hell. Only reason I went in there was, cold night, had to fill up my car, and decided why not.

We were going to go into my attic once, but the room smelt really bad (it reminded me of the fish we dissected in high school) so we didn't go in.

My brother's farts...they are horrid..![]()
Dude....
There was this on time I put some play-doh in a plastic bowl full of water, I left in the attic for two weeks. When I remembered it was up there, I went to get it... UGH!!Most horrid smell... ever. I almost threw up after one sniff. Later I developed a way to use it in a stink bomb.

Most recent horrid smell I can recall is that mildew that grew in the project I was doing for Botany class. Seriously, that stuff had been in there so long that it was like a rotting corpse.
Well, that and the piles of crap that the cats keep leaving behind my TV. Seriously, it's bad enough to make me want to stop letting the oldest one lick my cereal bowl in the morning. But, at least there I have a trusty bottle of Febreze next to my computer.

A while back I had a short temp job at a garbage truck hub. There was this large compactor were people could come and dump their refuse in; there was this about 5 ft. deep grated drainage trench in front of it. That trench had to occasionally be cleaned out. Luckily I was only assisting the guy that was cleaning out and didn't have to go in all way but I got a good whiff of the thick gray sludge that coated everything. The smell almost knocked me off my feet.
To place this in perspective I've worked at an active landfill and a large chicken house.
I'm luckier than my dad: he's experience an open air Korean fish market, and the blood and feed rooms at a chicken processing plant.
"Burning Man"? I think you mean "Burning Urethra" -- that place is a massive colony of venereal diseases being nurtured by their human servants. -zombie
In 6th grade we went on a trip to a chinese buffet.
And on our way home, there was lots of bumpey sections in the road, and well, 3 kids threw up.
Bumpy Road+Throw Up=..well, ill let you do the math
I guess that you don't have a litter box or two that your cats could do their business in.
Anyway, while I don't think that it's the worst thing that I ever smelled, urine and Clorox don't mix very well in a recently cleaned toilet. I experienced this a few times when I urinated in a toilet that my mom just cleaned.

I work at the zoo and sometimes i have to spend all day with the giraffes. Now its not too bad working around them in the summer months since they go outside everyday. But when its winter time and its been three days since they have been out because of the weather its a really bad smell. The zoo has twenty of them and when you first walk in, there is a really heavy scent of Amonia and poo. It makes you want to gag the first time and it takes about an hour for you to actually get used to the smell. Luckily the keepers do clean every day, it just lingers, especially on your clothes and hair which you have to clean as soon as you get home.
There was this girl in high school, and man her BO was lethal! You can smell her coming!
