Sketch presents the Toon Zone Member Awards: Anime / Manga Edition
This is the first of several themed awards events that I will be helming. They're just for fun and downright silly but I hope you enjoy them.
This is the Anime / Manga themed edition but if you aren't into Japanese cartoons / comics, don't worry there will be other themes in the future.
So here are the categories. You can vote for 1 person per category. You can vote for yourself but it's more fun to vote for someone else right? Right? No? Okay fine, be that way.
This is just the nomination stage. I'll take 3-5 of the top nominations per category and then those will be voted on.
Most likely to be a shounen hero / heroine:
The person strives to be the best and may be a typical individual with greatness thrust upon them or an individual that was born great.
Most likely to be a shounen rival:
The person whose' sole purpose in life is to defeat the hero / heroine of a shounen story and eventually they join the good guys when a mutual or greater threat appears.
Most likely to be a shounen hero's father:
The person who is either dead, missing, evil or a pervet (or any combonation of the above) and they may or may not help the hero to victory but they tend to enjoy themselves.
Most likely to be a shounen hero's side-kick (aka best friend):
The person who does their best to support the hero but probably can't do much but cheer their friend to victory.
Most likely to be a the friend a shounen hero who has a onesided love for the hero:
The person who loves the hero with all their heart but is typically overlooked or not noticed at all. Leaving them with only their fantasies.
Most likely to be a shoujo hero / heroine:
The person similar to the shounen hero but not really looking to be the best of anything in particular.
Most likely to be the handsome love interest of a shounen heroine:
The person who the shounen heroine is smitten with. They often sweep the heroine off her feet in a romantic fasion.
Most likely to pilot a giant robot for justice:
The person who uses a giant robot to fight either for good or evil (or somewhere inbetween) in effort to uphold what they determine to be justice.
Most likely to have an elaborate henshin sequence:
The person who uses technology or magic to transform elaborately into a defender of earth.
Most likely to become a Pokemon master:
The person whose' training and battling expertise shall far surpass everyone making them the true champion of Pokemon battles.
Most likely to be the long lost brother / sister:
The person who acts behind the scenes to help the protagonist succeed who is infact the sibling of the protagonist who went missing or "died" some time ago.
Most likely to have their own harim:
The person who will find themselves caught in a situation in which he or she is the only person of the opposite gender and all of the people of the other gender is oddly attracted to them.

Hmm....the only anime that I have ever watched was Pokemon, so I really don't know a whole lot. But I'll vote anyway.
The shoujo heroine. The reason being? My main character, Christy, on my upcoming updated version of Teen Titans Chronicles, is an anime character, and she would most likely be a more shoujo heroine-type person. She's a superhero and very powerfull, but of course has her weaknesses and she really doesn't care for "being the best superhero ever".
I made damn sure she ain't no Mary Sue.
