    Happy Birthday BonyT!

    Like This Thread!
I am definately not going to be posting as many birthday threads as I had been before but BonyT was one of the great minds in the monkey thread and I like him a whole bunch. Please show him how great he is by posting a lot of birthday wishes.

Wow! Thank you SO MUCH for the birthday thread, Fone Bone! And thank you, Batman91 and Pupmon 4.0!

I really didn't dream I'd get a thread --- I haven't been on TZ for so long. (Looks like 12-1-05 was my last activity.)

The reason I've been gone, btw, is that late last year, my boss at work resigned unexpectedly, and since then I've had to do both his job and mine. His job is frankly above my educational skills, but I've done my best with it. But unfortunately, I couldn't re-assign most of the duties of my old job because our already small department (6 people) was also hit with the loss of another person who had to be out on extended medical leave. The result has been that I've been trying to do essentially two full-time jobs, and I'm afraid there just aren't enough hours in the day, even staying at the office for 11 or sometimes 12 hours a day. So I've been arriving home quite late, with little energy to do much besides collapse on the sofa for an hour or so, and then off to bed.

For a good while after this situation began, I still logged onto TZ, but could only muster the wherewithal to post well-wishes in the birthday threads. After a while, as the hours started to take a toll, I'm afraid I just lost the energy to even do that.

Good news, though: Someone new starts Monday, so things should stabilize quite a bit.

Anyway, tonight (since it was my birthday), I decided to just leave the work at the office and come home early. I even logged onto TZ for the first time in almost 3 months --- and I'm so glad I did! This birthday thread really made my day!

So again, thanks so much Fone Bone -- you are the coolest! And thanks so much for the well-wishes, Batman91 and Pupmon 4.0! You definitely lifted my spirits!

Happy birthday, BonyT. Hopefully things will get less busy for you. I admire your work ethic! That has to be tough. As the second person to welcome me to Toon Zone and a fellow participant in the old Columbia House BTAS DVD thread I fell like we have a connection. A bond, like comrades in combat. Or perhaps like two guys who rode on the same bus. Anyway, hope you are having a great birthday.

It's really good to be appreciated. The reason I haven't been doing so many birthday threads since I got back is that people being snarky and telling me the threads were meaningless was one of the reasons I left. I couldn't help but take it personally. My birthday thread from Pupmon meant a great deal to me and I had always assumed the same would be true for everybody else. I'm just glad I'm not the only person who a birthday thread really cheers up.

Thanks, TF! We do go back a ways on TZ, don't we? I think your "comrades in combat" analogy is dead-on target: those of us who were such big BTAS fans that we were willing to endure getting into the trenches with Columbia House to get the show on DVD when nobody else had it available will always share a bond.

I appreciate the well-wishes, Comic Guy! It was a good birthday.

And Fone Bone, I can't speak for others, but getting a birthday thread wasn't meaningless to me. I really can't imagine why anyone wouldn't appreciate or value getting wished well on their birthday. But at any rate, it certainly brightened my day. I'll say it again, Fone --- you are the coolest.

Man, I'm just a ridiculously slow typist --- Two other people posted while I was still typing that last reply.

Thanks, Knight42092! And believe me, "belated" makes you a poster after my own heart --- I think I've posted late in about 90% of the b-day threads I've ever posted in!

Hey, much appreciated, Stu! That means a lot coming from you. It's nice to be missed.
