My laptop does not like mice

Yeah there was no better way of putting that. Any way I have gone through two different mice for my laptop since I got it back in August. I don't really like the built in ones and the regular ones are more convenient for me.

Any way both those mice don't work on my computer any more, I will plug them in the lap top and the cursor does not move at all. Is this normal for a lap top to do this or is something wrong with my lap top?

What kind of mice did you use, A USB one or an ps/2 one (the one with the round conector that had pins in them)?
