October 7th, 2003: What did you get this week?

    Like This Thread!
This week's most notable release would probably be The Lion King, the recent theatrical releases Down With Love, Willard, and The In-Laws, both the 1969 and 2003 takes on The Italian Job, a bunch of Dr. Seuss releases, and anamorphic widescreen re-releases of Halloween III, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and Vegas Vacation.

For a list of some of the best prices as well as the latest price drops for existing titles, check David Lambert's weekly thread on the Home Theater Forum and SalesCircular.com. A relatively comprehensive list of this week's releases can be found at DVD Talk and ComingSoon.net.

So -- what did you get this week? I'm looking at The Lion King and Willard.

I think everyone's gearing up for the 21st through 28th when we get a buttload of expensive stuff to getl. Indiana trilogy, Looney Tunes Golden Collection, Batman: Mystery of Batwoman, and The Hulk are all on my list. But I did buy Lion King:SE.

Would anyone even WANT to get Halloween III? The movie that just had "Halloween" in the title to get people to see it.

I picked up Lion King, Sanford and Son Season III, Kaiju Big Battle, Fred Zinnemann's The Day of the Jackal, and a 2 disk SE release of A Christmas Story.

That was the worst Halloween ever. What the Hell was John C. thinking?

Picked up Beauty and the Beast: Platinum Edition last week and The Lion King: Platinum Edition today, even though I'm not terribly fond of it.
