Americans and Canadians w/o region free players get another chance to "put on the glasses" October 7th, hopefully they'll also get that commentary. Prince of Darkness is also being released that day.

Now all Universal needs to do is rerelease MST3K: The movie, and then this whole Image licensed debacle will be forgotten.

Oh man, it's ben forever since I've seen that movie! I remember seeing it as a kid and loving it to death. Add another movie to the pile of discs that are wiping out all my money this year.

Snapper or no snapper, I'm still happy I get to see the movie with the Rowdy one himself.

Maybe I should keep the R2 clearcase

I think I'll wait to see what special features are there before deciding if I should get rid of my R2 UK version.

From the looks of it, They Live is barebones.

Damn I love this movie. It's too bad it's getting such poor treatment, seeing it's level of cult status. Snapper case and barebones is just not enough for me to buy. Guess those guys who bought this for 50-100 bucks on Ebay are gonna be sorry.

It's not in a snapper case, Universal has never released a title in a snapper and they're not going to start now. They call their cases "snap cases" because they snap to close.

Thanks for clearing that up. I guess I might reconsider, although I will miss the John Carpenter commentary for this one.

Not so easy for people that don't have region free DVD players.

IMO a region free player or a DVD-Rom drive is a necessity. And it’s not like they’re difficult or expensive to get!

The French version looks to be more feature packed than even the SE UK!!

In addition to the making of and the commentary you have a documentary on John Carpenter and you have a presentation he makes on the film.
