    Simpsons Season One box set

    Like This Thread!
Did anybody else get this already? I got mine ASAP Tuesday, figuring Best Buy would sell out of it early as they usually do for popular new releases. I went to their collectors set section, and there was this hole between Sex and the City and the Sopranos, so I feared I had missed out on it, but soon discovered that they put the DVD sets down by the Simpson's VHS tapes. Yeah, I know, what the hell were they thinking, but I didn't care, I had the Simpsons on DVD! It was my birthday present to me!

I spent all evening last night taking this in, watching all the episodes and a good number with commentary, combing thur all the extras, easter eggs included, and I have to say that this is one of the most enjoyable and fun DVD releases ever. The commentaries are the prize of the special features, IMO, and are maybe the most fun commentaries I have ever listened to, even if they repeat some factoids every now and then, each commentary adds depth to the series and the people behind it. All in all, you're not gonna find a better way to spend thirty dollars. This set is a great reason to get a DVD player if you don't have one. I cannot wait until future sets.

I had mine preordered, and made my mom pick it up for me yesterday. I also made her send it to me here at school.

So far I've watched the "deleted footage", the ABC special, and the first 2 episodes. I wanna watch them all normally before listening to the commentary (which is a must).

I'm just so happy to own it!!!

Anyone know when Season 2 comes out?

I've got it, it's pretty great.

Now if I could just find out when Season 2 comes out.....

We will more than likely have to wait six months for season two I still wish they would do it every six weeks like the Robotech sets. So what if they get caught up with the current season early? WHO CARES? I want them all NOW!

Got mine today, definetly worth it. Only watched two episodes yet, but I'll probably finish it off after work tonight...

I got mine at Costco Tuesday ($25, Yay!). I've only watched the first two episodes though, so far. I love the stylish packaging, so cool and professional. A little dissapointed in the menus...

You have to consider the Robotech box sets are smaller when compared to a full season Simpsons box set & that Simpsons will probably have more extra features. Also, we have the Futurama box set coming out in, I believe, December.

By the way, doesn't this belong in the DVD section?

Good point Consider the thread copied there!

I haven't seen any pre order info on the Futurama set. I hope it's not delayed for any reason...
