My conversation with DisneyDVD
I called DisneyDVD's hotline and talked to a rep.
The lady I talked to didn't think the censoring of Fantasia was done intentionally...even though there's some digital erasing in one scene.
She thought that my DVD problem was "technical" and she offered to swap it for a "fixed" DVD.
I explained the censorship and she didn't really know that they do that...and I'm the first person to call about this.
Anyway, she gave me this address...this is the one we should be writing to:
Walt Disney Archives
500 South Buena Vista St.
Burbank, CA 91521-3040
It seems that they used a 1969 print for the Pastoral Symphony segment since she said they were trying to use the best possible materials for the DVD....but the digital erasing makes it look intentional....I'm sending a letter to the Archives instead.
BTW, the number is ( 800 ) 723-4763
If they get two...then three....then four...they'll realize how badly the ****ed up one of the greatest films of all time.
