    No interesting DVD News?

    Like This Thread!
Is it me, or have the past week or so been devoid or any really interesting DVD news? Yeah, we got the Indiana Jones, and a few small snippets here and there, but overall, this has been a pretty low-key time for DVD announcements. Comments?

I remember posting a similiar thread awhile back (something like "slow time in DVD land?"), and that period felt much more devoid of DVD-related news (right after the universal botching of BTTF and ET had died down). I think the news of an Indy release goes a long way towards plugging any dry spells lately.

Its more than likely because the first big DVD (Daredevil) of the year was delayed. It was supposed to be out on Monday but now is out July 29th I believe. Still, theres not been anything worth having this year so far IMO

We're in a dry spell right now. All the big Oscar movies and fall blockbusters from last year are announced or out. The early spring movies, Daredevil aside, usually aren't much to get hyped about so nothing really major to talk about. And since we're just starting the summer movie season, DVD's for those films won't be announced for another month or two.

Yeah, I've been going to DVD sites more often in the hopes that something would be new. The only news I've heard only involved pictures of menus and DVD cover art for the cases. I think the only news I heard was on LOTR:The Two Towers and The Man Show Volume 1 (yuck). Seeing the Batman and JL covers cheered me up some though.

I guess the companies are too busy getting ready for summer movie season.

Yeah, the Batman and Justice League cover art wasa nice surprise today.

It has been pretty tame, no doubt all compaies focusing their attention to their summer releases, and their subsequent DVD release plan in the winter. I just wish we had more to talk about! LOL!
