WB To Produce Regular "Bonus" DVDs?

With word of The Matrix Revisited hitting DVD shelves, WB may be doing regular bonus CDs for sequels. This means that if they have ahit movie and produce a sequel to it, a DVD full of bonus materials can be released to help tide over the time until the next installment comes out. We may be seeing more of these discs from WB and maybe other studios in the near future.

Man, I hope this means we'll get a SUMMER CATCH REVISITED bonus DVD...*sarcastically crosses fingers*...

I like the idea of these, rather than forcing us to repurchase the movie, but if stores even sell these for $15 ($5 below msrp) then you're going to end up paying over $30 for the movie and its supplement. You can purchase the 2-disc Ultimate Editions from Universal for $21, so it seems as if people may just be better off rebuying the film price wise. I'm also slightly worried about them holding out on good bonus material to guarantee we buy the supplement.

I sorta like this idea becuase we get new bonus features, and don't have to rebuy the movie. I don't like how Universal is reselling all their movies just becuase they got a few extra features (like THE MUMMY for example). This has it's ups and down. WB isn't exactly known for packing their DVDs full, so this is a good idea for them.

I like this too. I am very reluctant to rebuy a movie on DVD but if they put out a less expesnive, supplimental DVD of bonus material then I am all for it. Why didn't somebody come up with this before? For as lame as WB is, this is a great idea they pulled out of their hats. Makes me wonder what else they got up there!

I personally think its an awesome idea. I love watching a movie. And then watching the deleted scens and then watch all the features. It's really great.
