WB Releases More 'Best Of'
Even though fans don't want it, WB will be releasing two more Best of Friends compilation DVDs. Is it me, or is WB going backwards? Here we have alot of studios releasing season sets, and WB is still doing 'Best Of's. I personnaly would buy a FRIENDS: SEASON ONE DVD set, but I won't buy a 'Best of'.

Yeah - that's totally suvky. And WB announced 2 more theme oriented SOUTH PARK DVDs: Timmy & and Christmas. Man...are they ever gonna learn?

Are WE ever going to learn? The way to stop this madness is to boycott this product and petition the hell out of them to do these things right. I am suspecting they will put out these best of sets now, get a mess of people to buy them, and later on release the season sets, thus forcing fans to buy many of the same episodes twice. Don't think they will do that? Studios do it to consumers all the time with new and improved special editions of DVDs.

I've always wondered, why is it that region 1 always seems to get the complete season DVD box sets later than other regions?

Contractural red tape. Most shows get contracted for syndication first before home video release, where as these shows aren't syndicated to other countries, where the best way to get the shows out there is to do the box sets. That's what I have read, anyway. It's all about money in the end, maximizing the shows for the most money they can milk out of them.

you can get every episode of "Friends" on VCD over at www.coolvcd.com. They have every single season...Plus, they have a thing where you can buy all of em' for like $350...

I'd prefer to have them on DVD over VCD. It just ticks me that WB keeps announcing these best of and comlilations when EVERYONE is screaming for Season sets.
