T2:Ultimate Edition and EAGLES "Hell freezes Over" were the 1st dvds I got. EAGLES was for pops.
I'm always tempted to get that BATMAN dvd, but I know that a *supposedly* special edition is down the line, so I'll wait for that.
What was your very first DVD, either bought or given to you?? Mine was very appropriately Batman(1989). This is my favorite movie of all time and I got it for Christmas last year(when I got my DVD player)![]()

I bought a small handful before I got my first collection, so it's easier to tell you what the first one is that I watched...Mallrats!~
"This Is Spinal Tap" is the first DVD I bought & the first one I watched.
Besides having about an hour of deleted scenes (I've heard about longer version of Spinal Tap running 3˝ to 5 hours), it also has a funny commentary track with the band.

My first DVD was X-Men Special Edition. Good movie too..
My bro's first DVD was "Contact"...

First DVD I got was back in November 1999, Robocop: The Criterion Edition. I'm a huge Robocop fan and have to have the Director's Cut. GREAT movie!

Cool, I have always loved UHF! I hope that Al decides to do a commentary along with the director on the DVD, plus I wonder if there are any deleted scenes for this film?Originally posted by calhoun07

First one I bought was Austin Powers, one of the early DVDs (Yet still good, amazing amount of extras for such an old disc)
"Treason doth never prosper, what's the reason? For if it prosper, none dare call it treason."
Sir John Harrington (1561-1612)
First DVD I bought was Shanghai Noon. Very quickly followed by Army of Darkness: Special Eddition.
Ninja resurrection
The first DVD I received was Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. The first DVD I bought was the 'X-Men' movie - because it came with a free video of the animated series. After watching it I could see why. The first two parter on the anime video was the most tedious X-Men cartoon I'd seen. Oh well, it was free so I musn't grumble.
Film was, as we all know, rather good though...

My first DVDs were: STUART LITTLE, CARTOON CRAZYS, and CARTOON CRAZYS: KID'S ALL-TIME FAVORITES. These were then followed by TOM & JERRY'S GREATEST CHASES.
