Akira, Space 1999 set 3 and 4, Moby Play, Monkeybone, and James and the Giant Peach are my most recent purchases.
New releases or old ones, what DVDs did you get this pass week? I got The Lost World, Christmas Vacation, and Beetlejuice(the latter is one of my most favorite movies of all time)![]()

Let's see, last week Harley bought Akira (the tin) and Vampire Hunter D. Her DVDs are my DVDs (and vice versa), so I add whatever she buys to my master list. I personally bought Road to rio and Road to Bali, cause I'm a big fan of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby (and Dorothy Lamour!)

Ahhhh...now it becomes crystal clear! Your list is longer because TWO PEOPLE ARE BUYING FOR IT! My mega list, while not as extensive as yours, Brian, is all my own doing. So if it wasn't for your assimilation of Harley's DVDs into your collection, how many would you have?
I got an anime DVD, Magic User's Club, Vol. 1 (aka Mahou Tsukai Tai). I got Vol. 2 last week. There's only two episodes per DVD, but they are bilingual, so I can watch it either in English or in Japanese (with or without subtitles).
If I didn't include DVDs Harley bought, my master list would be shorter by about 6. Her DVDs are Akira, Vampire Hunter D, Dominion Tank Police, Nadia Vol. 1, Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, and The Thirteenth Floor. She's the anime fan, not me. My list also includes a few music DVDs my father bought, like Air Supply: The Definitive DVD Collection, and I think 3 others.Originally posted by calhoun07

This week I hope to pick up AKIRA, ROUGHNECKS: STARSHIP TROOPERS, and if I can afford it, the PLANET OF THE APES box set.

DG, does the POTA box set have any good features on it? Does it have all 5?

And is that POTA box set you have there have the same features and what not of the first box set?
The set contains the original films and the 4 sequels, plus another disc with a documenttary, trailers, etc...I'm pretty sure it's the same as the first. With luck I may be able to get it Thursday. I'll let ya know then.
