Agh, they've done it again!
Not long after the release of Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan (perhaps THE best ST film), it has been announced that one of the next releases in the Star Trek genre is, er, Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan - Special Edition!
What annoys is me, is the release of the original DVD was initally hyped as a SE, with commentary and extra scenes and then released as empty as George Takei's acting. Suddenly, ta da! Out springs ANOTHER SE with 150 minutes (added scenes and volia! commentary!).
This probably is riding on the success of the ST:TMP SE, but the timing is infuruating..
If you are interested, the R1 release is scratched into my fustrated bones as sometime mid July - maybe 24th...
Grr, argh....
I wish they'd tone down on the SE - at least concentrate on releases that haven't been formated on DVD, or at least not for a while!!

All of the Star Trek movies are coming out w/ an SE. Its one of those good news/bad news things. Ive waited to buy the movies until these come out and hopefully they'll do a Movie SE box set.
