from what I've read, the prints are pretty good, BUT Bosko Video plasters their logo all over the screen, pretty much ruining any enjoyment of the cartoons
I finally got my copy of the Whole Toon Catalog in the mail a couple of days ago (the Spring 2001 edition), and I have a question.
I notice there is a DVD of a LOT of Snafu cartoons (I know they're not all there, but it's a large portion).
The obvious question, how is the quality of the cartoons on the DVD (for those who may have it), is it worth the $24.95 price?
You be the judge... :-D

Reports of that kind of think kept me from buying the DVD for a long time, since I'm a fierce anti-onscreen-logo fanatic. Then I finally relented and was happy to find the logos were mainly restricted to brief appearance in the titles, with only a few instances of them popping up during the body of a cartoon. YMMV, of course, but it turned out for me not to be a "don't purchase" factor.Originally posted by mmv3000

All the prints used for the Private Snafu DVD come from private colletors, so the quality of them vary a bit. Don't be surprised to see a lot of scratches and dirt. I'm sure WB has pristine copies, but it's doubtful they'll put them on DVD anytime soon. So I think this disc is worth buying.
